A summit crucial for the future of the economy was held in South Africa this week - the 20th AGOA forum at Nasrec.
The African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) is an American law that has given sub-Saharan African countries duty-free access to American markets - including South Africa.
South Africa was the continent's largest beneficiary last year having exported R178 billion worth of goods to the US, while imports amounted to R134 billion.
And it continues to drive investment in the automotive industry in South Africa.
