Nabanka Besha is held day before makar Sankranti in which Badasinghar Besha specially designed Hala Mushala,Shankha Chakra,Tadagi and Kundala etc. which are made of thermocol are used to decorate the deities.The flower ornaments used during this Besha are more in number than usual and all of them are made with Marigold Flowers.The hat-like conical ornament called Chula or Topara is designed using Tulsi and Marigold.It is described in the Niladri Mahodaya that the 18 Signs of Mahaprabhu are transferred into the devotees who witness this festival.Therefore it Is Also called Nabanka Bedhaa.
