Great video Cory! I enjoyed watching it very much. My favorite part in the video would be the hairtail fish alley-definitely tons of places to eat! And, since I never had hairtail fish, it would be awesome if later in the future you would have a video where you dine in at a restaurant in the hairtail fish alley and order a hairtail fish dish :) That would be awesome! And out of curiosity, the market opens 7 days a week, but what time do they usually open and close all the shops? Thanks!

+Cory May Haha! Like galchi is actually a quick short g sound if that makes any sense. Your fiancé actually has better pronunciation from what I heard on some of the vlogs. Haha! Trust me I am not perfect but when I speak Korean or when I learn another language I concentrate on the pronunciation. That's just me. I am surprised that you don't speak as much Korean in your vlogs when you are out and about. It may help you as well and just put subtitles for those who don't understand. As I type I think I understand why, it is more work during editing and you probably already spend hours editing as it is. My bad., I get that. That's why we enjoy your videos because of not only the content but the camera work and editing.

Thanks Cory, another great walking tour, I keep coming back for more research and you are really helping! I'm using a lot of your videos to pick spots I want to see/experience. I've got a list running. :-) I'm going to start a vlog on what it takes to prep for a trip over there so my friends can have some idea on all the things I'm learning. I was wondering about how people react to you walking around filming, it seems people may stare at your for a bit but pretty much just get out of your way...walking down those ally's all the ajumma's seemed very friendly, is that normally how it works? I'm going to be documenting my trip and wanted to get some inside info on what the vlogging etiquette might be. Thanks again for your great content!

I honestly would love nothing more than to be able to live in a place where I could explore all the hidden alleyways and secret restaurants and walk anywhere and still get places without the fear of getting lost or murdered or a number of countless bad things that would definitely happen here in the USA. Until then, I shall live vicariously through your walking tours videos. They're quite lovely and make me long for a place I've never been.

I enjoy the walking and cycling tours a ton, Cory. Makes me feel like I have a little bit of SK in my pocket. I did have a question and it may seem silly but is it common in Nadaemun market for the "kitchens" to be outside and the dining rooms inside? Or is that a South Korean thing overall? Just curious!

Though I've been to Korea a few times but there is always more to explore and I've not yet found the place at Namdaemun where they sell inspired "Chanel " accessories ! But I'm very certain that they made it there in Namdaemun but as it is just too big , I'm not able to find the exact place . Do you mind to show a video on this place and provide the address for it ? I will be in Korea on 1 June but not sure if you will see my comment on time to reply me or maybe you are no longer residing in Korea ! Hope to hear from u soon !

There used to be a huge knock-off market for music and movies in Korea back in the 80s and 90s, but not so much anymore. You can get those things from an actual music/video store, usually found in shopping malls. Kind of like Tower Records, but not super big like that.
