AS every piano tuner will tell you, always cut of the speaking length of a steel string at either end with brass otherwise the steel doesn't 'flow' correctly but hangs up so that the string 'jerks' between tuning peg movements and the non-speaking parts will always be at different tensions from the speaking part (actually, even with brass, you can 'tweak' the string tension between nut and tuning peg si that if you play hard, the tension will even out rather than allow the speaking length togo flat..

I am a huge fan of Buzz' - but I do NOT like top loading tele's - the string thru body is truly what defines a tele (or strat) for me, as opposed to a Gibson style bridge/tail piece set up. I do like the look of those saddles because I rest the heel of my right hand there all the time. .... and then there's the 30% premium (at minimum) for the name........

From a design standpoint, to me it looks tacky and cobbled together. Nothing really cohesive about it... IMO :P :) From a functionality standpoint, tho, his ideas sound good and sensible. Ooh, yikes, and I just heard the prices... Seriously? o.O

Thers no way that guitar looks "tacky" ... everybody has an opinion ... but that "looks" like a top-end, well-finished guitar; whether it plays good is another question, I´ve never tried one.

Not feeling it. Sounds like a lot of baloney about the saddles etc.
