one of the main reasons i absolutely love this is that it doesn't really matter what you drive, everyone just shows up, drift, race show off and have fun and share experiences. if you ever crash your car in the US or here in Norway like the one guy did you'd be publically mocked and put out on youtube as "A dumb ricer crashing" here everyone came and helped him and they got on with the fun

@DeeJKz LOL. Truedom. While we're turning Onevias into Silvias they're turning Silvias into Onevias. Side note on video. This is one narrated drift vid I like. Thank you narrator for not trying to talk over the sound of the exhaust, keeping comments to the point, and not using lame catchphrases.

Cops don’t be strict because they are so organized when they do this. California ruining car culture with sideshows and shit. And people always wanna act dumb in their cars. Recreating this scene in America will be very hard

I've never participated in street racing, but I've seen some of it IRL it usually starts out as road rage, problem is that in where I live street "racers" care too much for speed and not enough for control (so people die)... that being said I don't think that there is much reason in the cops showing up, despite being street racing it is somewhat well organized and people don't get hurt too often also you don't see obscene speeding on the video.

@RIllCHY in japan you can get away with it as long as it's not interferring with the public or harming innocent bystanders, That's why they drift in private low key areas. But I have a friend that moved there and when he came to visit he said rarely do the cops stop you for doing this in private but when they come and catch you red handed, it's better to show them respect, other times racers usualy stop, pack up, and calmly drive away(another form of respect) so they don't get tickets as much

@bmx5607 Unless you have a 240 with 800whp I suggest manual. And you will also need a LSD, otherwise it will be quite frustrating to get your car sideways without it spinning out.

@rustyxcarbine True. But to be honest this is harmless, no traffic on the road, just a bunch of people getting together for a good time. Yeah obviously there's accidents but clearly as we saw hardly anything major, few bent panels and a broken bumper.

its seems so prevalent, why dont just sanction it? charge like a nominal fee. everyones happy. seems rather safe, since no pedestrians are around (spectators dont count). hella a lot safer than the street racing you see here in the states at least.

My guess is a 180sx. Not a 240sx. And to back me up, go look in wiki... "The 240SX is a two-door compact car that was introduced to the North American market by Nissan in 1988" I very much doubt someone from Japan would want to import a 240sx.
