I can´t help but imagine that the deer thinks "I trained these humans well, I bow and they give me a treat" ^^

I heard some stories about them pushing and attacking people if they are not fed after bowing, so it's not as polite as it seems xD

There is a story that after the war, GHQ made these deer a target for hunting. The number of deer in Nara Park, which was around 900 at its peak, has been reduced to 79. Today, thanks to the efforts of the people, the number has increased to this level.

It may seem like it's bowing... But,I've had goats for years, usually the kids do that when they want head scratches or headbutt you.Anyway, animal behavior or common sense for treats made this deer a cute one

I was thinking this same thing. I can't tell, though, because it also doesn't move forward and immediately forgets when someone else walks up. My goats are pretty laser focused once they've decided to play or fight.

Some of them are chill but others can be aggressive when you don't give them enough 🤣
