the reason i love these interviews is because Nard has a way of getting these artists out of their celebrity "act".... about halfway through these videos the artists literally transform into actual human beings that i think i could actually chat with..... and im surprised by how much they actually do seem to know about music and music history. Who wouldve thought that under all of the fame and bloated celebrity are actually really knowledgable and passionate artists and lovers of art in general.

A true pioneer of hip hop and helped bring more attention and popularity to the genre then ever before. He has an tremendous catalog that is filled with incredible rhymes/flows/metaphors etc and is one of the most versatile artists is music history. Great interview, enjoyed it very much. I've watched this interview dozens of times since it came out. Damn I remember Lil Wayne in his prime like it was yesterday. He's still killing it in 2023 but when he went big on the world stage it was like this big new sound. He was shutting everything down and it's hard to imagine where rap would be today without Weezy. Honestly, if you were there and remember rap before The Carter tapes, during, and after then you know.
