I know she’s the main antagonist in the first film. But she did show motherly love towards Edmund. Even though we know she was faking it and using him. Plus she wanted to kill him and his siblings. I’m kinda wondering why she had became evil. She seems to lonely and when Edmund came-she actually showed emotions of a longing mother. 😢 i wonder if she lost a husband and a child cause of the prophecy of 4 other worldly kids coming to Narnia…

Look. People hating on Edmund don't know what it's like to have Mommy issues and a bossy older brother who thinks he's dad. Having an older woman take you in and make you feel safe holds a lot of weight. It's easy to fall for the act because you're so desperate for material attention, care, and a feminine role model. Ultimately he grew to see she was just pretending to be caring but take it easy on him for falling for it.
