I don't care how she got to be that good,I just look forward to her dances each week. She and Sophie are so the front runners this year. Enjoy the talent!

I actually like Natalie. And although everyone who's been to stage school probably has an advantage on this show. I've never known them to allow someone on who actually was training to become a pro dancer. But Artem does not need to teach her nearly as much as another pro has to with a beginner. I don't mind that she's in the show. But I am enjoying watching others more.

wow the content in this routine is amazing. love Artem's choreography and her outfit moves beautifully. Have to agree that criticism of Natalie is unfair - that just cos she had some dancing tuition years ago she is somehow less worthy in this competition. none of the male actors ever get that same criticism. you can either dance or not irrespective of any training.

you either have it or you don't there is no middle ground. The fact that she had some training in the past is irrelevant. You either can dance or you remain a stick. Putting aside all the cliches, my statement comes from experience. All I can say is ,'' go on girl, rock that stage''

She is brilliant and a natural. Catching the cane behind her back - she makes it look so easy. I predict she will win.

She's not cocky, just confident and it's nice to see, what you're interpreting as "cocky" is her own personal flair that she's adding to the dance like the professional dancers do. (For example, Janette raising her brows at the camera in her Vogue routine with Julian, and Karen winking at the camera in the pro dance for the 2013 launch show).

Also, what I think some people are failing to see is even if she has danced before, anyone that's been to stage school will have had some dancing training, so that could include the lad from Hollyoaks who is dancing with Ola, but nobody is saying he shouldn't be there.

Denise Van Outen was a trainer dancer and I did not hear any of the viewers saying it was unfair last year, so why are they get upset about it this year ?, Also Ballroom dancing is totally different to actual dancing, Its like learning a new skill.

Totally agree with you, anyone that attended a stage school will have had some dance training & there are plenty of actors that have been on here. What about Ola's partner, I'd imagine that Kara Tointon a former winner would have, yet nobody wanted her off the show. I wonder are some people not liking Natalie simply because of the character she played in Corrie, which is stupid. Plus, not everyone having dance lessons ends up that good, like you said, there is some extent of having it or not.

LOVED IT! :D She's amazing! So glad she got to perform as well with that back injury and everything. Had me worried for a minute! And I swear Artem's choreography is entirely on a level of it's own, just adore him, he blows my mind every time! And the icing on the cake; jazz version of Usher's song, hell yeah! :)

I remember when Usher performed this version of 'Yeah on DWTS. Looks like Artem picked up the baton and ran with it. Great routine. Of course a good PRO should pull out his best choreography when he has someone like Natalie to work with.

WOW to the song. I thought the original version of Yeah was no where near usable for Quickstep, so I told a friend it had better be some orchestrated remix. Can't believe that's exactly what it was! haha. Natalie is just (and I've never used this word to describe someone)... GRAND!

You can tell she got a bit laboured towards the end, and her arms were a little too straight in her extensions. But agreed, it was better than most people get after years of practise!

It's not that different actually. It's not a two way system. Ballet training helps you with latin and ballroom. The opposite is not true. Anything that teaches you how to move to rhythm is going to give you an edge. And Nathalie's ballet training does give her an advantage over the other contestant. It was very obvious when she was doing both the waltz and the rumba. The graceful way she moves, the way she holds her arms and her legs, all that was taught from ballet training.

People keep saying she shouldn't be on the show because she's danced before. I disagree. I dance latin and ballroom, but if I tried to learn ballet, tap, irish dancing etc, it doesn't mean I'd be any good or find it any easier than anyone else starting from scratch. It's like comparing apples and pears. Yes she's danced before, but not latin and ballroom and that is totally different.

The only thing with this performance is that she hasn't had the practise and especially towards the end you could see that she was a bit laboured and didn't quite have the right amount of swing. I do, however, think that Patrick's performance didn't warrant a 9.
@Dancingqueen1980

Yes but I think that the ability to hold the arms and legs in such a graceful manner can be learned without ballet training. I know plenty who are that graceful with no ballet training. I also think that people are forgetting that any contestant that attended a stage school will have had some dance training to put them at an advantage. We don't know that the Hollyoaks actor dancing with Ola hasn't attended a stage school. & I'd fully expect that Kara Tointon, a former winner would have.

I also have noticed that Len doesn't seem to like it if anyone gets a bit too good for his liking and is also confident in their routine and just has to knock them down. He gave Natalie an 8 when every other judge gave a 9. Yet Abbey Clancy and Patrick were given a 9. Eh, that makes no sense. Ok so they danced well, but it wasn't in the same league as Natalie's dance routine, yet he scored her lower. Makes me think it's a fix and down to who the BBC want kept in.

I think Len marked her very unfairly with the 8. How is her dance worth only 8 yet Abbie Clancy and Patrick's he scored 9s. Clearly he wasn't scoring the dancing standard.

I've found that having lots of ballet training is actually somewhat of a hindrance in learning ballroom and latin: Ballroom requires a lot of use of slightly flexed knees and transferring position "through" the floor, in ballet this is fairly unusual as you are taught to be drawn upwards as if by a string. Latin is all about hip movement and swivel: things that ballet tries to break out of you, take for example arabesque where the hips must be perfectly square to the supporting leg!
