I get a kick out of the fact how some people say Natalie is too serious and boring. I have seen her 8 times in the last 2 years and I can personally attest to the fact that she has a sense of humor, as seen here, and personality unlike any other. I tell people that she could easily have been a stand-up comic.

+Savannah Ridout my b date is may 15th as well. Taurus unite. i always desired to witness Natalie Merchant live. it is one performer who has shaped my poetry. her affect is immense like so many artists & those who are learning to hear the notes.

That's so funny we have the same birthday. I saw her live in Fort Worth back in 2013 and it was the most beautiful experience of my life. I cried through the whole thing, it was amazing.

the closest thing i own to a live experience by natalie merchant is her albums. Tigerlily is that special album. i would ride down Route 9 & play that album on repeat in my cassette tape receiver. natalie is a rare songwriter. her tender, sensitive ballads make me yearn for simpler pastures. her voice is the strong point. it is unique, exotic, forlorned, yet soothing. the new re-recording is a sonic treat too. maybe i will experience her live one day & be fulfilled.
