Felt goosebumps watching this. Takes be back to my early days as a skater like nothing else could. They played this on the TV at the South Austin, TX, skateshop I hung out in (Aggro) and it always got me so excited to skate. Hight art.

After wearing out our copies of the Bones Brigade videos when we were kids. This video kepts us wanting to skate every time we watched it back then. This scene was the best scene from the movie. I still have my Natas board from back then too, same model he used in the video. Still has the trucks and wheels on it as well. It was the last skate board I ever had since I got older. I think that song is by Firehose, "the enemy". Ill never forget that song as well. What a blast from the past.

Old school needs to come back. people forget that skating is about having fun. Its not about who you know or what you look like. My local park is flooded with soda spilling, candy eating 15 year olds. THEY DONT KNOW WHAT SKATING IS ABOUT AND THEY WILL NEVER KNOW.

skateboarders should respect each other for anything that they contributed to skateboarding.. whether it be inventing tricks or helping other kids get better at skateboarding.. Natas influenced allot of great skaters.. and not to mention, Natas is an amazing artist.. give him the respect he deserves and leave the negativity at home.. cheers.

The great thing about Natas is that he makes everyday skating something far more. He doesn't need ramps or elaborate setups. He makes you believe you can leave your front door and achieve something unbelievable in the first 50 metres that surround you.

Reminds me of early 1989. I was only 14 then. I haven't seen this video since 1990 or so. Love the scene with Jason Jesse. This clip rules, as did this era. I still skate and I lived through the giant pants era with 38mm wheels, but it seemed best for me around this era.

I saw this part on SK8-TV on Nickelodeon in 1990. I was 6. 22 years later skateboarding still means the exact same thing to me, maybe more. Because once you deal with real life and have real problems you learn to appreciate the true freedom that skateboarding provides. Skateboarding is exactly what you make it. If it doesn't mean anything to you, that's your fault.

Yep, you're missing the fact that this was over 20 years ago. Guys like Natas, Gonz and many others put street skating on the map. These guys are legends. A couple of years after this video, around 88, you started seeing handrails and shit coming into the scene. It's grown even more today, but you should have respect for the inventors.

Streets Of Fire was released in 1988. Natas, as you all know: Was ther first til boardslide a handrail, along with Mrak "Gonz" Gonzales. Lateron Natas was also the first to 50-50 a handrail. He and Gonz was the two who took the kickflip from Freestyle to streetstyle. Natas also "invented" the frontside flip, out of a quarterpipe, during the SMA cadilac-tour i 1989. BTW: He ALSO was the first to have a proshoe, that came i 1988 - Etnies, Steve Caballero's Vans came a little bit later..

Skating back then was crazy, those big old boards (I still have one for nostalgia). Ollie fast plants off things, and just riding fast. Somehow the styles got separated, now people use banana boards just to ride fast and travel and small boards for tricking. back then one board was both. Natas was awesome, Mullen was still using his freestyle board at this time and was equally impressive but the styles had not merged. Natas Spin that again.

Watch the Natas bio. Rodney invented all of that stuff flatground, and Rodney is my favorite skater. However, Natas is one of the people who brung it to the street's. He and the Gonz were the first people to ever skate a handrail. And he took ollie's and kickflips to the next level. He helped make street skating what it is today. Rodney did it on flat, Natas and Gonz took it to the next level.
