There is a story that people from that area came from Somalia. They were the ruling class many years ago in Somalia. They ruled with an iron hand, the Somalians got so fed up of them that they kicked them out. They moved south and settled in the southwest of Uganda.

@@Yegotego banyankore are bantu and bahima are cushites himitic nomads but when they came over they integrated and adopted bantu languages, like Tutsi in Rwanda, basongora in kasese who speak rutooro, batuku in kabarore who speak rutooro, bahima in ankole who speak Runyankore so you can see even on this event they never included indeginous banyankore with there traditional culture but they were ruther show casing only bahima culture. Hope u got my point
