Beautiful horn! I prefer whistles, but this horn is gorgeous sounding!

That's a great horn! The Detroit Toledo and Ironton RR (DT&I) used those exclusively from the 1950s until their assimilation into GTW in the early 1980s.

@SierraRailway Thanks! I will admit that whistles are hard to beat, but I just love the sound of a nice air horn, especially the classic air horns that are no longer made.

@trainandhawksfan17 Because it plays the same notes but the P3 is matience free and less of an air hog. :O

@WPRR1 Ha ha, I hadn't even noticed the A200 in the background in the picture. Good eye! I don't think I have a recording of it, but it sounds just like every other boring A200 out there. I'm not wanting to part with it, but it really isn't a favorite of mine. One of these days I may put it on an engine just for the hell of it. We'll see...

@gaycowboy31 If you need more information about rebuilding your M3 or any other horn for that matter, you should check out locomotiveairhorns[dot]com or hornwhistleboard[dot]com. Lots of information available at either of those sites. You can even share pictures of your horns there if you'd like. I'd like to see pictures of your M3, even if it is currently caked with exhaust!
