I actually thought the larger study was very interesting. But that 10,800 FU dosage would be expensive to maintain. Do you know the dosage of nattokinase in a package or serving of natto? By the way, I was taking nattokinase to help with Long Covid, and after a bottle of enteric-coated nattokinase I did recover from the LC that had kept me bedridden for 3 years. Reportedly, this would have been because of dissolution of microclots, which of course is different from cholesterol plaque.

I'm 73 yr old. I had an arterial calcium score test done 30+ yr ago when I had mild calcification. Recently a Cardiologist I saw told me to do another test as my cholesterol went up - about 320 so after only 3 yrs since the last one. My score was zero. I've eaten eggs all my life, and he still tells me to not eat eggs. I'll just use common sense and keep eating healthy eggs since it's obviously not affecting my calcium score. I've made two major changes in my diet over the last 8 yrs, eating high healthy fat (avoiding seed oils) and low carb; plus K2. For the last year I've had almost no sugar.

The sudden interest in Nattokinase isn't due to nutritional influence's on youtube or the latest study. The recent surge of interest in it is because it has been suggested by multiple Dr's to treat a certain spike protein that may be causing some people some issues.

Yes. This is yet another reason we know DrStanfield can be either a bit clueless or just pretending to not know something. But yes you stated the spike protein issue but also it’s getting recognized because it can help with breaking down the blood clots that the jabs have caused. Morticians know that clots have increased dramatically. Now I have to suspect that he maybe biased, when frankly everyone needs to be taking this enzyme based on even just the possibility that it could help. Because theoretically it would.

Frustrated with your analysis. 1. The 2022 paper compared groups with both high and low dose nattokinase. It found that lower doses had no change in arterial plaque. So your attempts to discredit the findings are highly suspect. Placebo based trials are expensive. It does not discredit these findings simply because it was not an expensive trial. The findings were compelling because the difference in dosage had a clear and obvious difference in results. This is good scientific evidence. 2. This finding on its own is significant and yet you dismissed the findings. Keep in mind that reversal of plaque is a big deal. Something caused this and we had two groups here. High dose and low dose. Only one arm saw a benefit. Your attempts to discredit these findings is laughable. We know from direct comparisons with statins that nattokinase is indeed way more effective at lowering plaque. But you didn’t look that study up now did you? 3. You proceeded to ignore the *most important finding from this study that high dose matters* and then cite a study with low dose. Care to explain why we should take that study seriously given the findings of the first study showing the importance of dosage? That’s textbook misinformation and I hope you didn’t do it deliberately but I am not going to give you the benefit of the doubt. Pretty shameful. 4. There are more studies that exist showing that high Nattokinase is effective. This is bad for pharma companies who don’t want a generic vitamin working since it would hurt their profits. Expensive trials are not going to be proving generic vitamins work. There is no money in it. Clinical trials are mostly funded by industry. 70% or more in fact. They are trying to prove novel therapies work, they are not trying to find cheap non commercial-able drugs. That’s the opposite of what they are trying to do. Take your misrepresentations elsewhere. I encourage everyone to do their own research because I cannot tolerate people who deceive on life saving information.
@disinformationworld9378

Anyone can go and read the KZitem comment sections where people share incredible stories of reversing plaque with K2. Placebo controlled trials are designed to make money for pharmaceutical companies. They are not designed to find natural remedies. They are not the end-all be-all of “science”. A single study with results that can be reproduced in the real world is real science.
@disinformationworld9378
11 ай бұрын
I don’t need to even explain this. Massively reducing plaque is basically a miracle. There are no drugs that can officially accomplish this. So something has to explain why high dose K2 was associated with this result. And sorry, I don’t need an “industry funded” study to tell me what is plainly obvious, especially with other scientific evidence that can corroborate and confirm these findings. Pharma companies have corrupted science. And this is obvious. About 70% of papers cannot have their findings reproduced. The current state of scientific paper publishing is broken. Due to corruption. So I would take a non industry funded study more seriously due to the lack of conflicts of interest. And especially when the data is extremely miraculous in what the findings were. You cannot hand wave away these compelling results. Low dose = no effect. High dose = huge effect. This is all we need to see the study is credible on its own. Especially when there are no known other ways to achieve the results that clearly happened.
@disinformationworld9378
11 ай бұрын
I am convinced by these findings. Just read the “anecdotes” in comment sections to verify there is more proof to be found if you want to find it. There are several papers showing that these findings are indeed legitimate. K2 in high doses has powerful therapeutic benefits.

Fasting is the best thing you can do to stimulate phagocytosis to remove plaque. Taurine also helps! Some benefits of doing occasional extended fasting: High blood pressure is lowered to normal levels very quickly while fasting. Fibrosis/scarring is reversed over time, including in the heart and lungs. Fasting stimulates phagocytosis, the ingestion of bacteria, plaques and viruses by the immune system. It will also remove any 'foreign material' like spikes that are not supposed to be there. Whether natural or unnatural in origin.. Blood clotting is reduced and blood clots and arterial plaque are reabsorbed into the body. Vitamin D plasma levels are increased as fasting improves metabolic health, and vitamin D in turn increases autophagy. Fasting restores your circadian rhythm to normal over time. Fasting increases nitric oxide release. Fasting restores NAD+ to healthy levels. Reflexes and short term memory are increased. Fasts from 36-96 h increase metabolic rate due to norepinephrine release! Telomeres are lengthened and fasting also increases anti-aging Yamanaka factors. After 72 hours or more fasted, your body recycles up to 1/3 of all immune bodies, rejuvenating your entire immune system. This helps prevent the onset of new autoimmune conditions, which develop through a leaky gut and damaged immune system. Fasting can help with MS, Depression, BPD, Autism and seizures. Thymus is regenerated, which suppresses aging and renews the immune system. The thymus also plays a vital role in fighting cancer. Weight loss from daily caloric restriction has 1/4 to 1/3 of the weight lost as lean tissue while many studies show fat loss from 36 h fasts without losing any lean tissue! The obese will lose extra tissue like loose skin while fasting, but the skinny or frail will have increased growth hormone release than the obese, which helps to make more lean tissue and reduce frailness. When you move out of MTOR your body shuts down the building blocks of the cell required for viruses to replicate. The hunger hormone ghrelin also lowers with extended fasting and rises from dieting. What breaks a fast? Anything with protein or carbohydrates in it will break a fast. Most teas and herbs are OK. Most supplements and meds will either break ketosis directly or contain a filler that will. Many meds are dangerous to take while fasting. Does fasting lower testosterone? No, it raises it when the fast is broken by increasing lutenizing hormone. Fasting also increases insulin sensitivity, which helps with muscle building. Fasts of 36-96 will not affect short term female fertility or affect menstrual cycle. They also may increase long term fertility, especially in women with PCOS. Fasting reduces pain and anxiety by stimulating the endocannabinoid system in a similar way to CBD oil. One day of fasting can cut your leptin levels in half and gets your immune system working properly again! This reduces leptin resistance, which impairs immune function. Stomach acid is reduced over time while fasting and can allow for the healing of treatment resistant ulcers. Some patients may need continued acid reduction medication while fasting. Does the body preferentially prefer glucose as a fuel? No. Except for brief periods of very intense exercise, your body mainly burns fats in the form of free fatty acids. Your brain also prefers to burn ketones at a rate of around 2.5 to 1 when they are available in equal quantity to glucose. Fasting stimulates the AMPK complex and activates autophagy. Autophagy (literally self eating) will cause cells to recycle damaged proteins and foreign matter such as viruses. It will can kill cancerous and senescent cells It increases mitochondrial function and repairs mitichondrial DNA, leading to improved ATP production and oxygen efficiency. Increased mitochondrial function also has the added benefit of increasing your metabolism, fighting infection and cancer prevention! Fasting releases BDNF and NGF in the blood which stimulates new nerve and brain cell growth. This can help a great deal with diseases like MS, peripheral neuropathy and Alzheimers. When not in ketosis, the brain can only burn carbohydrate, which produces a great deal of damaging ROS the brain has to deal with. Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level. When you fast, this stimulates apoptosis in senescent or genetically damaged cells, destroying them. Senescent cells are responsible for many of the effects of aging and are a root cause of the development of cancer. A fasting mimicking diet for 3-5 days in a row also provides many of the same benefits as water fasting. FMD usually has 200-800 calories, under 18 g of protein and extremely low carbs. Exogenous ketones can aid with fasting, making it easier in healthy people and allowing some people with specific issues to fast in spite of them without worrying as much about hypoglycemia. They also help with dementia and many other issues even if you take them while not fasting! Glycine and trimethylglycine can also be useful supplements while fasting that won't break ketosis and have many benefits. Children, pregnant or nursing women should not fast for periods longer than 16 hours. People with pancreatic tumors or certain forms of hypoglycemia generally cannot fast at all. Type 1 diabetics can also fast but it is more complicated and should be approached with caution as it could lead to ketoacidosis. If you experience extreme symptoms of some kind, especially dizziness or tremors, then simply break the fast and seek advice. Many Japanese consider the consistency and smell of natto disgusting, and won't eat it. One needs to be careful about broad statements that Japanese longevity is in part due to natto, when many don't eat it, yet still have long lives. When the Chinese first visited Japan, they noted that they often lived to 90 years old, long before many of the fermented foods that the Japanese now eat were introduced into the diet. There seems to be a strong genetic component here, which is largely ignored in all the blue zone studies. Wearing a kimono won't make you live longer - correlation is a useful indicator of _possible_ causality.

As far as excersise, some people can't do it alone. Back before covid, I had a really good excersise class that kept me in shape. But because of the stupid mask mandate, I was forced to stop going. Because I couldn't workout with the sane intensity, I got out of shape. I still have to class to attend. To sum up, if people only focus on diet and exercise, nothing will be done. You have mention again about taking rosuvastatin 5 mg. There is a lot of noise about the side effects of statins. Do yo think it is worth taking? What is your opinion about the side effects? Are you doing anything to counteract the supposed side effects (for example taking CoQ10)? What is your opinion about the studies that show a sweet spot about LDL (in terms of longevity). Too little is also bad? Since this is a large subject, I think it would be nice to have a video about this to clear the misinformation.

@MyMusiclover28
11 ай бұрын
Yes to this! I asked my doctor and he almost laughed at me. “It can’t possibly be the statin. It could be so many different things” I get that, but ALL people I know that have some type of dementia ARE or WERE on statins. It’s a very small sample, I realize that, but I saw the effects on my own father. In my heart of hearts, I’m 100% sure statins played a significant role in his mental decline. He went from being an independent man to us having to take the car away from him as his mental faculties faltered very quickly after starting those dammed pills. Nobody will convince me otherwise 😢

@@MyMusiclover28 I agree about statins. I believe it caused my blood sugar issues, now diabetic, and although the Creator was the only one that seemed to work I awakened during the night with chest pain (PrinzMetal angina), and more recently after trying it again, severe, debilitating muscle cramps. Zetia I could not tolerate at all. I believe the statins caused the awful peripheral neuropathy I suffer with now. Can't help but wonder what other issues it is responsible for.

Newsflash: unfortunately the majority of trials (your beloved large scale RCT's included) are 'riddled with bias'. Marcia Angell (former editor of the NEJM) pointed this out more than a decade ago. Obviously she's not the only one. The situation hasn't exactly improved since: the pharmaceutical industry at present has a very unhealthy grip on the entirity of research, education, regulation and practice in health care. Many of your reports start with a teasing headline but end with the conclusion that we should wait for larger RCT's. I'm afraid this is misplaced optimism in most cases. We should look closer at the so called 'anecdotes', especially if these are well documented cases, if they add up, and even more so if the outcomes correspond with the mechanisms of action of the treatments /substances involved. In my opinion, there are clear signals nattokinase is beneficial for heart health.

I'd not cut out the butter and salt, and I'd not overdo it with protein. Saturated fats are a good source of energy, whereas excess protein, beyond what the body needs to built tissue, turns to glucose in the liver, in a process called gluconeogenesis. Salt is an essential source of sodium and chloride ions, which are abundant in a healthy body. A balance of sodium and potassium ions is healthy, and better to increase one's potassium than to decrease one's sodium in take in order to gain this balance.

I would just go with (Dr.Best) for the price I got the other one cause so many of these Supplemts got those fillers in them so I was trying to lessen the filler amount. In the study that administered 10k NK daily, the improvement rates for TG, LDL, and HDL ranged from 84% to 89%. While, as you mentioned, this could be attributed to participants starting new medications, the high improvement rate makes me skeptical that more than 80% of the participants began new treatments during the 12-month study. Considering there were no side effects at the 10K dosage, and since LDL, HDL, and TG levels are straightforward to measure, I'd try beginning with a 4K dose. I'd then assess the results with a blood test after 6 weeks. If all goes well, I'd increase to 6K for another 6 weeks, then to 8K, and finally to 10K, each time evaluating the outcomes while keeping all other variables consistent. Any thoughts?
