I want to see them do wash n go's, twist/braid/bantu knot outs. Doing black hair doesnt mean changing the entire structure, why dont they ever attempt to define our beautiful curls intead of taking away our natural beauty by altering our hair structure with chemicals or heat? "Made up" hair dosen't mean straightening or installing straight/loose curly wigs or weaves!! You cannot "do" black hair if all you can do is change it and make it straight instead of accentuating the way it naturally curls.

Every single time, I get the Pikachu face when I say "Don't put a protein conditioner in my hair". Just say "No, not at the level you need", and I'll leave a great review about how you're honest about your abilities. Otherwise, you lose a customer and get the 1-star of "Don't go here, curly heads". I say we can. Doing hair is their job, consumer awareness is important but so is *accountability on both ends* . Its people who dont even know what heat damage is, imagine their first experience being after having it professionally done. This conversation is so nuanced to me because folks tell black people their natural hair is unkempt, undone, or unprofessional & say "you need to get sumn done to it" then when others fail due to a lack of knowledge about natural hair its still their fault alone. No. Yes, we need to learn more about our hair & stop letting everybody put their hands in it, "professional" or not. But ALSO YES, some industries are preying and sometimes even banking on the ignorance of some to gain money. Its an endless loop & I say both parties can be held accountable for the end result.

It's the professional's responsibility to say "I'm sorry, but I'm not trained on how to do 4c hair and I don't want my lack of knowledge to damage your hair." As a professional It's you JOB to know the extent of your capabilities, if you know you haven't been trained in a certain area, then you need to communicate that. I think there is a point where the consumer is at fault and that's when: they insisted on having their hair done after being warned by the stylist, or you see damage being done to your hair. I've laughed so hard! What was she thinking??? Just because you have a white husband (baby is mixed so I inferred...) doesn't mean you should go to all the places Oyibo people go! Sitting there like a lemon! Was she glued to the seat or in protective custody???I'm surprised she has anything left on head. Next time! Smh

You sound stupid. She went there to see how they will handle it. It's like a challenge. Have you seen people go to chinese hairstylists in China or Japan? Exactly. Not because they have Asian boyfriends it because its a challenge and for views. Just say you are jealous of people with wm

I actually had a stylist not know how to straighten my hair but when it came time for the blow out she just said oh but your curls are so pretty and then put some curl cream in it and let it air dry lmao. She played it off really well but we both knew what was up and I appreciated leaving with healthy hair, a nice scalp massage, and a really nice compliment

Funny enough, even here in Ghana, hair stylist have no idea how to handle the natural hair. They are good with permed hair but only a few know how to handle kinky hair. They don't know about working in sections, the different types of textures, porosity, finger detangle or anything. The products they use for permed hair is the same product they will use for natural hair, same technique they use in handling permed hair is the same they use in handling kinky hair. Those who know about these things too make sure to charge for them. It's a sad something. I do my hair myself most times.

I don’t understand… obviously these stylist are not native to your country. Just like Caucasians… So-called “BLACK” people have different hair textures based on their origin. So-called “Blacks” whose ancestry date back to and BEFORE the colonist invaded our land here in the United States… we don’t have 4c Hair…

I'm actually gonna cry because I myself am JUST starting to learn my hair like literally because of this channel, I want to understand my hair, and seeing this video kinda reminded me of what I do to my hair and I am terrified watching. I have a whole headache because my head feels like it's going through this pain and I literally had to click out halfway because it felt like torture that I KNOW I did to myself before due to inexperience. I am DeF NOT going to be like this anymore YIKES thank you so much for the guidance Chizi! I look forward to learning more from you (by the way can u guys tell me how to learn what hair type I am? I think I'm 4C but I'm unsure)

I don’t want to victim blame, but why didn’t she speak up? I’m the first person to experience social anxiety and never say anything when people do my hair, but this is too much 😩

Not you saying you don't want to victim blame then going ahead and victim blaming😂😂 social anxiety is different for everyone and can be debilitating, keeping her from expressing herself

@@Asepa99 My comment implied that despite not wanting to blame her, I still had to. There’s a point where even if you’re struggling with mental health issues you should still have respect for yourself and your own dignity and not let people walk over you when something wrong and harmful is happening to you. Also, I don’t know if she suffers from social anxiety, I was talking about my own experience

She is not a victim.. She went to this salon while she was in Turkey knowing this would happen. She even said in part 1 of the video that she knows they won't know how to do her hair and that she didn't mind them "experimenting" on her hair. She got what she was expecting to get 🤷🏾♀️

I'm a white lady with type 3b/ 3c curls, and I gotta tell you, I felt physical *pain* when I saw the guy in the white shirt bring out the round brush. I have thick hair, and I can wrap a lock of hair around the bristles, and /let go of the brush/ , and the brush will *stay there* and hang like an ornament. That's how well that kind of brush can/ will get stuck in even moderately curly hair. I cannot imagine how it must how felt being used *repeatedly* on her *type 4 hair*. ANd watching him use the round brush in tandem with the blow-dryer, I am just--...I need to go scream into a pillow. He's trying to use *type 2/ type 3* hair techniques on type 4 hair to try to straighten it, and he's frying the strands like an egg. And on top of that, I can't believe he put the dryer *that close* to the hair! I'm surprised that her hair didn't audibly crunch at the video's end!

First time I witness natural hair abuse and damage. Another big chop I guess.🤷🏾♀️ 1- Why did she let 2 white men do her hair? 2- Why did they insisted on curling her hair? 3- Where is the conditioner, heat protectant AND the trim? One of the point of straightening your hair is to get a trim‼️ 4- Who the f@#£ recommended them to her? Questions that needs answers 🥴🤣
