5:28 some of these tiny predators came up with a funny way to smell things underwater. They blow a little bit of air out of their nostrils, just enough to make an air bubble and then pull the air back, and smell the particles that come out of that water area that they filled with air.

I remember a 1000 ways to die episode where this couple tried to make escargot, but I think they used random snails from their backyard or something.

Yeah ,they wanted to celebrate their 2 year (of being together) anniversary ,they wanted it French style ,but they ate the snails raw (You have to cook them ,otherwise the parasite stay alive and can manage to get to your brain and ... eat it) ,they both died in hospitals)

@@plumebrise4801 I distinctly remember in the reenactment the couples hating each other at the end. At least from what I remember, they didn't paint them as the happiest couple lol. This was YEARS ago though

Oh yes, I can't recall the name of that snail parasite off the top of my head, I just know it turns the snails eyestalks orange to attract birds. I think the most disturbing detail is that after the eyestalks have been bitten off the snail recovers.

Damn scarry story at the end, but glad you allright. I actually have my own Vietnam flashbacks with same thing. At my childhood, one year has abnormal ratio of caterpillars for some reason. At normal, you lucky if manage to find couple in whole pile of thin things from threes, but this year ratio was around 1:4. So they was just everywhere and even dropped to people's heads and clothes, if they walk under threes. I even found them cute at first, but after almost take one by hand and mom shout "They are poisonous!" i developed huge fear for them. Even now, then walking at street, if see some of this three things, it subconsciously makes me shiver.

Fun fact: if the platypus from Australia scares you for how much pain their venom cause, there's allegedly a tree there that does the same but × 1000. Horses allegedly would jump off of cliffs when they brushed past it due to the extreme pain. A man explained how he suffered crippling pain for actual years nonstop due to that tree. Some people even reported that they still felt the pain after getting the suffering limb amputated

the thing that baffles me most about panda's is that their digestive system is still fully adapted for meat, they can digest it the same as any carnivore could, they have one of the strongest bite forces among bears and aren't exactly small and would be a lot less pudgy with hunting and exercise... like, my brother in christ, you could be an apex predator yet you CHOSE to just eat nutritionless bullshit all day and laze around, when did you decide to become generationally american and what shameless god took the instinct to eat the thing you evolved to eat out of you ?

I really want to try Fugu someday, but I think I'm not going to. I want to know why people still risk it, it must be delicious or it makes no sense. Edit: Upon doing some research, most Fugu these days is made from farm grown blowfish that are NOT poisonous, or at least not poisonous enough to be dangerous, so with a safe fish AND a certified chef, the risk is basically none. They also make a sauce out of the liver (the dangerous part) thats safe to eat as well, and gives a very unique mouth feel (bc its made of poison). So I will be trying it someday

I'm pretty sure the "zombie snails" he was talking about may be In reference to snails under the effects of the cordyceps fungus. I'm not sure, but it sounds similar.

So what I'm hearing is, trash pandas r safer than real pandas. This is a joke. I have experience being around raccoons n know they r adorable, smart, and wild animals. They r not pets n should not be pet unless fully raised in captivity. In which case, maybe pet. But still probably not. My grandma cares for a raccoon that lives in her yard. One day, she didn't feed him so he broke into her house n climbed the walls for food. Her cat stayed clear for his own health and safety, thankfully. But yeah. Raccoons, trash pandas, may be safer than real pandas in the physical way, but raccoons have the capacity to actually want u dead n that along with their very capable climbing skills makes them more dangerous in the general sense.
