The N1K2-J was the most outstanding Imperial Japanese Navy fighter to see combat during WW II. However, the aircraft was best suited for engaging US Hellcats and Corsairs at altitudes below 20,000 feet. This aircraft's engine lost performance rapidly above this altitude, which meant it was generally unsuited to intercept B-29 raids.
S'il y en avait eu davantage un peu plus tôt, les américains auraient beaucoup souffert!
