What's interesting is that in the Modern Warfare trilogy the warfare was fought conventionally, with nuclear weapons always being a lurking threat. Zakayev launching missiles on America after the death of his son, Price blowing one up in orbit and causing an EMP blast to stop the Russians from winning the war in America, Makarov getting the launch codes from the Russian president and threatening to turn Europe into glass. These missiles had no nuclear warheads, still very powerful high explosives.

how come NATO consistently loses to Russia in war games then ?
@JoseRodriguez-eu5ez

@@m-a9673 Consistently lose in a wargame that measures how well they'd perform in an 'offensive' war. Non-NATO countries in Europe would very likely join against Russia, just because ties to Western Europe are that much better. No country does well in offensive wars, not even America, and they have the largest amphibious/tanker fleet on the planet. Twice over what the next two nations have, combined. Let's take into account that the Russian military is also not professional. They are largely a conscription based service that pulls teenagers in. Even their "pro" units aren't very special, if their performance in Ukraine is anything to go by. Most of the VDV, the equivalent of US Army Airborne, was nearly wiped out a few weeks ago. If we're being honest here, Russia never really could sustain an invasion past the Baltic countries and Ukraine. Even if we take them by Hollywood standards. They, evidently, have terrible logistics and leadership. Mostly leadership. But screw that...guess who's eyeing up a weak ally and bound to take advantage of the situation? China now knows it's the bigger dog. That alliance is gonna turn into an abusive relationship real quick.

Well, back then Modern Warfare needed a bogeyman and Russia has always been a classic choice. Now China is growing, it could make a perfect alternative bogeyman to Russia, but i doubt big gamemakers would dare upsetting China for fear of losing its market, that is if COD is even allowed in China.

I like your gameplay, it's like a roleplay gameplay, you take cover, check the corners, walk with your ally and actually look around. Most top no commentary walkthrough channels just goes blazing and immediately run to the things that needs to be interacted with or door before the game even tells them, trying to just finish the game as quick as possible which is understandable but for non commentary videos they could've made it more entertaining with roleplay aspects like this.

It's not a very realistic mission but it's fucking cool and awesome nonetheless. I mean how often do you get a mission where warships are blasting each other?

It's wild when you realize how weak Russia's Potemkin army truly is... their true military capabilities were never close to being able to pull off the event in MWIII

I’m planning to go in the Military and the branch I’m planning to go into is the NAVY and the job I want is Spec Ops (SEALS) and as a Navy Seal I would work with the Army Rangers and these Delta Force and go on Missions with them but I would work with these guys as a Navy Seal

Totally unrealistic. Seals use rebreathers for these kind of operations. And they definitely won't use diver propulsion vehicles unless it's their exfil plan as well as entry plan. They also wouldn't detonate charges while they're underwater. I know an ex-diver once, who blew himself up by mistake because the detonation wire was stuck to his belt. He basically dragged the explosive with him, without even noticing. And before he got out of the water, he detonated the demolition charge (because he was confident that he did it right) and then the blast killed him, and it also flipped the RHIB.

The most unrealistic thing about this entire series is apparently the competency of the Russian military.

For some that know...The US military or US intelligence agencies have microphones buried in the ocean floor.So,they know if ships or submarines are coming towards the US coast.They dropped these microphones back in the 70s and 80s,so this scenario on Russians ships and subs invading the US,could never happen.

apologies for the dumb question but if a bomb does off underwater with divers nearby, they will at least go deaf from it, right?

I did past this phase before but not ones in Africa playing as Price's subordinate. Any games regarding to Russo-Chinese invasion of the USA from now on should set the invasion site at Westcoast. Newyork a battleground sounds quite off! how Russian fleet slips through NATO and other European allies all the way from Karelia/Ingria region to the NEC?
