Starring Sir HERBERT MARSHALL with HANS CONREID
A classic tale (and personal favorite) which takes place in the English Channel during WWII. This story comes complete with an unexpected surpise at the end, the trademark for a Suspense story. This was also produced by Escape a couple of times, but I chose the Suspense version here because of the actors (I won't post disappointing duplicates) For this Production Marshall and Conreid are perfect choices and make excellent characters. The audio quality is good, but not perfect like most I post. This version aired in 1957, under the direction of William N. Robson.
FYI and other STUFF-N-SUCH: HERBERT MARSHALL'S Knighthood is honorary. By 1956 Suspense had no budget to speak of with no full time sponsorship. It was carried by the network, all the way thru 1962.
