+carlin J. Also Toni Kukoc the 6th man of the year, one of the best foreign players to come to the NBA and a guy who could easily score 30+ points if needed, Ron Harper, another guy that was a threat on both ends (though he too was perhaps past his prime)...This team was excellent from top to bottom.

That team was so hard to beat damn near impossible they started the shit how the hell you lose 10 games in a 82 game season amazing!!!

The Bulls 95-96 team was the greatest ever. Second was the 66-67 76ers. I've seen NBA basketball since the middle 50s, and that's my view. Of course, some of the Boston and Laker teams in the mid 80s were also great.
@NameCallingIsWeak

"Second was the 66-67 76ers." Have you thought through the implications of Wilt Chamberlain vs Luc Longley, as well as what Wilt's 8+ blocks per game would do to the Bulls driving the lane?

@Ulysses432 Thank you. I ran into someone who thinks like you a few months ago. He laid out pretty convincingly why "old school" can't compare to the new guys. The numbers on the new players and offenses don't lie. Different eras, and the new is better. My 10 year old SUV goes from 0-60 faster than a 1984 Corvette, and my personal 7 year old laptop has 1000 times the RAM as the state of the art HP-UX workstations we used in college. That being said, if you have some spare time, check out "The Strength of Wilt Chamberlain". His free throwing was awful, but by all accounts the man is the strongest person of the 20th century. you look at that spin move at 6:27 before the turnaround shot, the speed and agility is insane. an aging jordan here was still able to do spectacular stuff like this in almost every game during that time. there is no doubt that this bulls will dominate the warriors now, you just have to see what kind of line up this bulls the conclusion is easy to make. honestly speaking, this version of jordan and pippen make curry and thompson look like slow motion.
@davd1986
8 жыл бұрын
+popeyeisgood Curry and Thompson are mostly shooters, while Jordan and Pippen can shoot, slash, post up and that's just on the offensive end. Those guys would lock you up on the defensive end too. The Warriors would be winded after the first half, perhaps earlier.
@itsnotrhenlopez7626

@popeyeisgood
8 жыл бұрын
davd1986 to be fair, both curry and thompson are decent in slashing in today's league.( of course the definition of slashing to the basket is different for jordan and pippen, especially jordan, since his first step off the dribble is one of his go to moves that is still one of the most explosive in the history of nba) and thompson does have a post up game as well.( obviously not a go to shot like jordan). they surly do compensate a bit by shooting 3. but the agility of jordan before the 2nd 3 peat was just something else. not to mention the physicality of both players compared to cur and thom. if leonard is considered the 2nd best player after curry in today's league then pippen and jordan in 96 were both head and shoulder above leonard on both ends. I just cant see thompson getting his way as easy as he is now if he were to be guarded by pippen. and chemistry wise I will still pick pip and mj of 96 over the current duo.
@davd1986
8 жыл бұрын
You are right. Also to consider is how long both Jordan and Pippen were. Jordan at 6'6, Pippen at 6'7. Curry is 'only' 6'3. Thompson is 6'7, but doesn't play like a tall guard, in my opinion. Then again, Dirk Nowitzki didn't really play like someone that's 7 feet. Let's just say that every NBA player is unique in his own way, past or present.
@popeyeisgood
8 жыл бұрын
davd1986 i just think that if these two teams were to be playing against each other the duos would probably be matched up to guard each other. and in no way i would believe that curry and thompson would be as effective as they are now playing against jordan and pippen. in the mean time i think we have seen better defenders than anyone in the warriors now guarding jordan..and the result? we all know dont we? pippen is a facilitator so his game would not be affected much no matter how much wants to argue about the rule change and such. prime pippen is sort of like a tall version of kidd with much stronger d ( and less assist of course)

I think the difference between Jordan and kobe is that Jordan got his team mates involved in the game way more than kobe ever did. And not trying to take anything a way from kobe but to me his mind set was more like score first and everything else comes later but as in Jordan's case it was win. to me that's a totally big difference between the two styles of there game.
