The intro to these games are magical they don't do that nowadays.

The physicality in this series mirrored what was seen in the 80s. Handcheck legal, bruising play implored, and the games felt meaningful like it was the finals in the first round. Loved it. I remember it well. Awesome download.

This series isn't really the "passing of the torch" because New York wasn't able to duplicate Detroit's success via rugged, tough play. The Knicks only adopted the physical style of play, but not the success that comes with it.

That’s what made the Pistons unique; they had the defensive ruggedness AND offensive firepower with their backcourt of Thomas, Dumars, and Vinnie Johnson. The Knicks meanwhile replicated their defense but didn’t have any offense to supplement, relying too much on Starks for any offensive input.

Just imagine if Isiah Thomas went to the Knicks, Patrick Ewing would have had a championship.

94' They had a chance at Isiah but they got Derek Harper whom wound up being better for them.

Isiah wrist was dead by 93/94 I think he would have retired no matter what. However if he never had a wrist injury. I would loved to see him win a ring for Ewing as a Piston fan.

Knicks Rode Xman whole playoff run, Detroit didn't have an answer for McDaniel, and X played Pippen as Tough as Rodman did in 89,90 .

Trading Xman and Jackson for Charles Smith and Doc Rivers was a bad move, McDaniels gave Pippen nightmares plus McDaniels wouldve helped Knicks against Rockets in 1994 finals.
