Good bike but there are a few things that can catch you out. Don’t stop on a steep hill because you won’t get going again ! If you are on a steep hill use gear 1 to go. Watch out when you put it on stand because the front wheel will easily rotate and the bike will fall over. Also, if the seat is too high, because the bike has such a short wheel base, it will become unstable. It’s great fun to ride, our Chiquaqua loves riding in the panier on the front but we make sure he is secured and don’t go over bumps fast ! Happy cycling. Oh yeah, it’s quite heavy and tricky to manoeuvre when it’s folded.😅

I agree, it takes a bit of time to get confident at riding this folding bike.😁 When stopping on steeper grades, I switch to power level 6 and lower gears myself. One thing I really appreciate, is the carry handle. I use it to lift my bike over obstacles, and carrying it up a short flight of stairs.

Thank you! And I envy you for being able to carry it. Looks so easy. I can't carry it, not even a few steps on a stair and without the battery... 20 kg 'raw weight' is just 5 kg too much for me.

It's been a good bike so far. Stairs are a pain for all cyclists.

Its a great little bike. Fits in the back of my SUV easily (you can fit two bikes without laying the back seat down), and it only takes a minute or so to unfold, and your ready to go for a ride. My only gripe is, I wish the seat post suspension was a little softer, but apart from that, I have no complaints so far.

@@GarryPurcell Thank you for your kindness for answering my question and getting me out of doubts, I had also thought of a Brompton but the electrical system does not convince me much, thank you very much for your prompt response, greetings and that everything goes very well 😊.

Thanks Gary, interesting and helpful review. I just took a Paris for a test ride as the London is in short supply at the moment. I noticed that the steering was a little wobbly at very slow speeds, which I assumed may have been because of the smallish wheels. Have you noticed this with your London? Also, I am thinking of going for the throttle option but need to be convinced it is worth the additional $250. Grateful for your thoughts.

It took me a few days to get used to the smaller wheels "I was also wobbly at low speed", but much better now. The smaller wheels when the bike is folded, makes it easier to fit into the boot of a car. (I own a Hyundai Santa Fe, and two bikes can fit side by side with space to spare 🙂) Just bear in mind in Australia, adding a throttle, will cause the ebike to be re-classified as a motorbike. in the eyes of the law.

Thanks Garry, good to hear that it wasn't just me with the slow speed wobbles and more importantly knowing that it will improve. Good point on the legality of the throttle. I guess I was really only thinking about awkward steep starts and how a throttle may assist, but it is probably overkill.

@@markeaston7353 What I found so far, is I can easily start in top gear on slight inclines. The fun part is..... IF you peddle HARD to get moving, the motor does little to get you started. BUT, If you peddle Slow, the motor takes over. hahaha.

Great tip thanks Garry!

It’s because of the short wheel base. I had an original Moulton BAck in the day & it was very stable even at slow speed because it had a much longer wheelbase !
