The a group of Seattle Mountaineers launched from Neah Bay on a rainy, dreary morning. We headed east hugging the coastline before turning out near the mouth of Snow Creek to open water for the return. The trip back had us heading around Seal and Sail rocks. They are part of a huge boulder field about a 1/4 mile offshore.
Incredible coastline with some interesting formations made for some great noodling. Around the first set of rocks we slowed to watch a mother sea otter with her pup on her belly - a first for me.
The winds picked up on the return which made for a bit of downwinding.
Wet and dreary, but still an amazing day.
This was new coastline for me and gets me ever so closer to completing my #PugetSoundPaddleProject
