The cherts that you find are so nice! Love the colors and the banding on some of those rocks. I know that you have been enjoying the milder winter weather down there. Keep looking at all those creekside locations in your area, and show us the wonderful finds! Thanks!!

Beautiful. I know that Jasper, agate and chert Are all silica and very similar but you’re right some of those look like they’re agates. I found a beautiful piece once, it’s rarely found. I can’t tell which it is either. I do some lapidary, and this is some of my favorite material but it’s some of the hardest to work with.

Nice! I was just in this area a couple weeks ago for a Mozarkite dig. My Grandpa used to have a farm on the Gasconade river. I remember as a kid there were no fossils lol. I'll have to look again sometime now that I have an appreciation of agates and chert/jasper/flint. Definitely some very pretty chert in the area and lots of it blurs the lines of chert, chalcedony, and quartz. Cool stuff! Rock on!!!

This wasn't down by Warsaw or Lincoln, it was east of Jefferson City.

Almost wonder if the people who claim there's petrified mega giants & dinosaur flesh aren't into something when you find stuff like the rock you had at the end of your video.
