Enjoy y'all's videos. I'd like to make a suggestion for perhaps a video or a talking while driving video. What's involved in maintaining your trailer tires while on the road? What kind of tires does your trailer have? How often do you check pressure? How often do you have to do things like tighten lug nuts? Do you have to use a torque wrench to do it? Do you have and/or do you want a tire pressure monitoring system on your trailer tires? What kind of and how often do you have to service the wheels, bearings, etc. Maybe some time you could talk about how the electric trailer brakes work. I have owned three large travel trailers but they stayed permanently parked on the coast of NC. Never towed any of them. Live north of Fort Worth now and thinking about getting a Winnebago like yours or the 1708 or 1808-just me and two dogs! Thank you and I look forward to your next day's travel!

@@JCCRaleighNC Great suggestions. I have already passed those along to Sharon. With the South Dakota trip, we have videos for a couple of months, but I do love your suggestions for after SD.

Hey, Cassie. We felt like we found a hidden gem with the Nebraska National Forest. We loved seeing the wide variety of pine trees there.

Great video. Did you happen to notice any dispersed camping in the vicinity? We like to have dispersed options in our hip pocket in the event we're unable to make a reservation, and the first come sites are full.

We didn't notice any dispersed camping, but you might check one of the apps like FreeRoam that lists Bureau of Land Management camping.

Since the forest is first come;first served how long can you stay in total and do you just call them to let them know you will be adding days at that site you are set up in? What do you do for meals when you extend like that? Have fun, be safe.

This campground had both reservable and first come first serve sites. We stayed in one that wasn't reservable. We could have stayed for up to two weeks, I think. Since it is self-pay, we just paid for a third night when we decided to extend our stay. With the meals, I wouldn't have believed you if you had told me that we would be gone for 28 nights without ever going to a grocery store. We did. We cooked most of the meat we took, froze it and stored it in the travel trailer's freezer. The pantry was full of dry goods. We had an advantage in that we stored more dry goods in the van.

@@TwoTiredTeachers, obviously that was a very well executed plan. We do the same...filling the freezer and also having plenty of dry goods. Although I don’t think we’ve ever made it 28 days without grocery shopping. I enjoy stopping at local grocers sometimes to find out what items are available that are common to the areas we visit. Weird, I know but fresh pecans, Taylor pork roll and stone crab would likely never have been tried if I hadn’t found them at local markets. Maybe you could share some of your meals in hand when traveling. Safe travels, ladies. God Bless.

Great video! How do you find such great places to camp? I ordered the Army Corps of Engineers Campsites book off Amazon. Most of the campsites are in the south, and west , very few northeast. Always enjoy your videos, take care and be safe.

When we are on a long trip, we try to guess where we will be after we've driven 6 or 8 hours. We look for places near the stop and find all the information we can on those campsites. I don't think there are nearly as many COE campgrounds in the northeast. I don't know why except space is more limited there. Thanks for watching our videos.

The sign said National Forest and Grasslands. Was there a grasslands preserve or info signs? I’m planning a trip and haven’t really been to grasslands before

While we definitely camped in the forest, we do know a little about the grasslands. We camped in grasslands when we did dispersed camping on the rim of the Badlands. It is the wide open spaces. You won't find many trees, but you will see acres and acres of grass, often used by cattle for grazing.
