Nearly 10 stone? I met you last summer at the HubNut Social near Leeds and I knew you wanted the op etc but I wouldn't have said you had that to lose, go you young lady, you've done amazing 👍. You are so full of knowledge, I didn't know about the miners etc with regard to the Austin J40, what an amazing story.

Hi Steph - that was a BRILLIANT rapid look around the show. I agree, it's best tonlet the 'owners' talk about their stands and exhibits. It was good to see you chatting to Sarah, and to see her Morris Ital. I can see it's going to be a nusy week watching all the videos from the NEC - I hadn't realised how many KZitemrs I follow ! Great stuff steph, and you are looking fabulous too - well done 🙂 X X

You go to any classic car show, high end cars a plenty, the cars our parents and grandparents could buy own and drive... not so many. I got stick from someone for walking past another e-type to swoon over an Anglia estate, much better than the one my Grandad had. I think It was the first one I saw this century! So big up to anyone saving one of those day to day runabouts.

Like you I love the Austin 1300, had one back in 1973, WKP491J, in beige. Loved it and subsequently, in the late 80’s and early 90’s, a Riley 1300 Mk2 and a Wolseley 1300 Mk2 also passed through my hands.

Love the nobel fuldamobile in the thumbnail pix. When i was a young teen, there was a businessman in the uk that sold classic cars to the usa, " harry j. Sibley", i vividly recall the advertising in " cars and parts" magazines of that time. Back then, the bubblecars were very inexpensive, isettas, Messerschmitts, bond bugs, glas, nobel, etc.

Great! Thanks for a terrific video. So many interesting cars and people. If I have to mention any cars in particular, the Mustang on the Classic American stand was very beautiful, as was the Daimler in a Jaguar Mk 2 body.

As an American I cannot believe I'm saying this but I fancy the mini outspan orange car. That car goes on the list of weird cars I'd love the chance to drive one day before I die. I would rather test drive it than a Lamborghini.

An Austin A40 Devon was my Dad's first car, same colour as well. I was born in '53, can't remember when he got it, probably around '56. At the same time he had an A40 van from the company he worked for in Bolton.

I work as a cleaner in an office building. The cleaning company I work for insists we all wear hi vi's waistcoats and steel toecap shoes. Just in case we drop a damp cloth and it bruises our toes, presumably. More than ridiculous, frankly.

@@michaelstamper5604 I agree it's ridiculous. One of my tasks is to supply prescription safety glasses. One of our clients insist office staff have them even though they are never on the factory floor. Don't be surprised that the edict comes from your employer's insurance company.
