Sir, I see so many people who take dermatology/Radiology/Anesthesia saying it's an end branch but then most people also do SRships after their PG so in the end even the end branches also become 6 year residency...Is it practical and are there people who get good jobs after MD in the end branches and not doing SRships for another 3 years?

Hi sir is it ok to do diploma in a subject if it’s your passion but you couldn’t get it despite 3 attempts. I plan to complete it by writing “PD CET” and do secondary DNB. Or should I compromise and change branch ?
@drmohsinraj
Жыл бұрын
Its never late to follow your passion. You can choose diploma. However, I strongly suggest to go and feel that branch first by visiting your medical college hospital and if you have even slightest doubt, may consider switching to a branch where u r getting MD/DNB. Best wishes

Sir can you please help me out with the thing if someone wants to pursue internal med but isn't getting it, should he/she go for pulmo (considering the fact that the candidate hasn't kept any alternative branch as career option ever) ?? Will be kind of you if you respond to this !
@drmohsinraj
2 жыл бұрын
1. An MBBS graduate usually has no idea of the depths and pros and cons of each and every branch. You may think medicine is the best branch but may b two years down the line, you might actually feel that surgeons are doing a much better job and vice versa. 2. Go to your medical college hospital and explore different branches, talk to different faculties regarding your doubts. 3. If u strictly want to pursue medicine and are not getting it, then pulmonary medicine can b an option or a dnb in general medicine and then after 3 years, u can choose pulmonology as DM speciality (in case of MD in pulmonary medicine) or any superspeciality (in DNB). A DNB from a big corporate hospital in a level 3 city would b an option to consider at the moment. Best wishes
