Why can't we directly feed the Vo to the subtractor instead of dividing it by k?

We want amplifier not just buffer, so it will have gain of k.

Sure you can do that in that case K=1

Maybe it helps you if you sit-back and think further on the driving example that he explains in the beginning. I am sure you will convince yourself that we need Vo/k instead of Vo for a negative amplifier system.

Any idea about the textbook that he is using?

7:58 when the input to integrator is zero, why it's output is constant?. Why we need integrator in the first place?

The answer to your first question is that it is the natural operating way of an Integrator, by definition. For your second question: there is no other simpler block that depicts such exact operating-trend as one would like to have, in any negative feedback system.

All this to realize an Op amp Which has a capacitor in its feedback for realizing integration. Whole course ojective is to from Black box into Transistor level Implementation of two stage miller compensated Opamp, so you will slowly understand all this hulabaloo why it is being done and all slowly. Just keep going
