Neighbors in Need is a short documentary that I created along with my friend Taylor Rueff in spring of 2024, about the food delivery system of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society food pantry's 30th Street chapter in Indianapolis. It follows Charlie and Dianne Gardner, drivers for the delivery program, as they deliver food from the pantry to home-bound clients in the area, free of charge.
We created this documentary to show a reality of our city: that food insecurity exists and many of our neighbors around us are subject to it. St Vincent de Paul strives to help those in need because they are members of our community, who deserve happy and healthy lives as much as anyone.
