I think some people who are seeing this and say "oh, Neil cost his team a powerplay, so useless!" are missing the point or are missing some context. In the previous two games Glass came into the lineup for the Rangers (having not played the first two games of the series, both of which Ottawa won) and got under the skin of the Sens players a lot. The Rangers won both those games 4-1, and Glass was noticeable, always chirping the Sens bench, taking runs at guys and throwing them off their game. After this whole situation though? Glass was silent and contributed nothing. Chris Neil may have nullified the Sens powerplay, but he also nullified the player who had caused the Sens the most problems entirely. Glass went from running his mouth to sitting down and shutting up. Glass got cowed, and the Sens went on to win this game and the next, ending the series.

The Silkiest Of Mitts Outside fan but it seems like glass was refusing not because he was afraid but because he knew that's all Neil wanted and was in for. Glass refusing so many times caused this. It was very smart. In a fight though I'd say it's probably even. Neil has a very bad tendency of hitting well after guys are down and doesn't respect the code much.

Chris Neil is irrelevant to the outcome of the game. Glass would fight someone who's absence for five minutes would have an impact on the game. Glass knows his role is to rough-up Ottawa's main guys, not a fourth line grinder with 4 points all season. It's just smart hockey IQ.
