After yet another crushing defeat by Margaret Thatcher.
Labour Party has to accept a further four years in opposition
By the time of the next election they will have spent at least
12 years gazing across the floor of the Commons at Mrs. Thatcher
and her government.
Following last June’s defeat, Neil Kinnock instituted a review
of his party’s policy. Nothing was to be exempt.
What lessons has he learned and what are the values and aim of the party that he hopes will return Labour to power? How does he answer the charge that there is no real opposition to the Conservatives?
