I hadn’t listened to this before. I so enjoyed it. Again I find more of Neil Young’s music played in different Arenas that turns one song into a different symphony from the way I’ve heard it before. Like “Change your Mind” I loved in this performance better again. It’s so interesting how each of people playing are so approximate for that performance. That seems like an amazing talent one of Neil Young’s many. Well it’s now4:45 am it’s been an all nighter again. Amazing how there seems to be No time some times. LOL. So enjoyed another night with Neil Young ❣️Donna

Guitar feedback comes in two forms really - harmonic feedback is when the sound from the speaker causes a string or strings to resonate (i.e. keep vibrating, sometimes strongly enough to cause fret buzz) at either the original pitch or often an overtone like a major third, a fifth or a flat seventh ... this is generally lovely sounding. The other kind which I call "electronic feedback" is just pickup squeal and signal breakup unrelated to any pitch. Single coil pickups are much more susceptible to this version, which is very harsh and extremely high pitched. Neil and Billy get some of that nasty electronic feedback around 41:45 for example. Harmonic feedback is very hard to get on an acoustic, because the increased string vibration almost immediately causes angry fret buzz (see 30:31). But Neil loves his noise, even if it's from an acoustic guitar :)
