Interesting video and informative, thanks for making it and all the content of your channel. But (there is always a but) the sound level is too low. It change with the distance to your camera, requiring to adjust the playback level. Some wireless mic like Rode wireless Go would make a nice improvement. The first version that is mono can be found discounted now (version 2 (stereo) is out since some time) or at reasonable price on Ebay. Keep this way, it is nice.

Hello Dronason, thank you for your comment and recommendations. Unfortunately, the problem is not the mic. I currently use a Zoom 4 with a small rode shotgun. The room where I shoot my videos has no good soundproofing, and it picks up the bouncing noise from the PCs. One side of the room is storage with shelves full of random stuff. Also, using a shotgun when getting farther from it requires normalization during postprocessing, which boosts unwanted BG noise. I have ordered a Lapel, and I am looking for soundproofing pannels so that I can deliver better quality content. Ciao

@@MiddleRoomWorkshop Then from the different scenes, it seems to be related to the distance with the shotgun microphone, closer the best it seems to me.

Hi Stephan Hogenboom, thank you for your comment. I am planning to do a full review video soon, in the meantime, I got a bunch of videos where you can see cutting and engraving in action. Have a look at the timestamp to jump right to the section of your interest. kzitem.info/news/bejne/kYWpyHWCh6SJimk kzitem.info/news/bejne/ubCeu6psn3hyfKw kzitem.info/news/bejne/mbB6s5aLiJ-YnII I have prepared a video about the installation of air assist with the electrovalve, but it will roll out in the upcoming weeks. Once ready I can send you the link for you to watch as it will be unlisted up to roll-out. I hope it helps, Ciao

Thanks for your laser-video's. I would like to build a new box for my Neje 2s plus laser. But this should also be big enough for my next "upgrade", the Neje 3 pro. How big does the ground-plate have to be at least so that the laser doesn't hit any of the 4 sides? Width in X direction, length in Y direction and height in Z direction? Not the dimensions of the frame, but the actual space that is required when the laser module (A40640) moves to the outermost positions. Thanks

Hi, thank you for your comment. My base is 600*600mm, but the x-axis drag chain would extend a bit further when all the way to the right. The enclosure I used with it was 700*700mm and 400mm tall so I could fit an alignment camera. With this enclosure, I could fit most machines in reviewed in my channel. I hope it helps. Ciao

thank you for your clear explanation. What's the difference between the NEJE 3 MAX and the NEJE 3 PRO?

From what neje has told me the difference is size. I am currently debating neje vs xtool trying to decide which to go with

Hello Juan Felipe Rodríguez, thank you for your comment. I confirm what WELLDONECJ7 said, the difference is just the size. In fact in my opinion, if you do not need that size right away, you could buy the pro, then make it bigger by replacing the rails with longer ones which come in kits s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_A9v34Z. If you compare the prices from the current offer, you will see the difference is in the rails. PRO s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_9waC1r MAX s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_9ynf3X Ciao

Hello WELLDONECJ7, thank you for your comment. Xtool is definitely a more premium machine, in comparison, but it also comes at a price. I have been considering buying it, but I went for machines made of off-shelf components, which are easier to find and repair and do not have to pay a premium price for it. Besides, I feel like the new series from NEJE got much better than ever just abandoned the idea of their software is just primitive (LaserBox from Xtool is way better), but the new minimalistic profiles make the machine much lighter and compact, plus you get the onboard control for the air assist and the extraction system which is cool. Below you can find NEJE's current best offers: PRO s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_9waC1r MAX s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_9ynf3X Next Xtool current best offers: www.xtool.com/?ref=FyBUkp0h8GCcj& Ciao

How do I cut and engrave at the same time ? Thanks :) I'm going to order the NEJE .
@MiddleRoomWorkshop
Жыл бұрын
Hi, clell osburn; thank you for your comment. I guess you mean a project having both Engravings and Cuttings. If you are trying to do that with the NEJE App, you could try a workaround, but since the app does not support gcode files anymore, it won't yield to good results. With LaserGRBL, you can use that workaround. You will need to prepare your project and break it into several parts dividing the parts for cutting and the parts for engraving. Keeping a fixed reference point, you may now import the SVG file (vector produced by Inkscape or other vectorial software) and first do the engraving part, setting the right power and speed. Then, once the engraving is done, import the cutting file and pay attention to the coordinate to set the new power and speed settings to cut. Unfortunately is not simple, and things get more complicated if you wish to have fill engraved parts. Let me know if you want me to go more in details. Ciao

Hello Kun, thank you for your comment. This will come in the next video; the video was already too long. Anyway, the machine cuts flawlessly. It is the same laser module that I have used in the last year and is the best I have. If you are interested to see some cutting here, you can see the module cutting 18mm of wood kzitem.info/news/bejne/sXeJtqupiaaHn2k I will try to make a quick video to show some cutting to publish earlier so you and another viewer can see. Can a roller be used with this laser engraver? if so which model of roller can be used to engrave on bottles and rounded objects?
@MiddleRoomWorkshop

Hi Otto Orta; thank you for your comment. Yes, you can use any roller or rotary jig with this machine; you will only need to disconnect the cable of the y-axis stepper motor and connect the roller to that connector. I recently got an Xtool RA2 Pro which is like the best roller you can get for a desktop laser engraver but is expensive. Soon I will review it on this channel. Below are some links, if you are interested. Hi, i have a question please HELP: since year i had neje laser 80w, and it worked fine. but yesterday suddenly stoped cutting and engraving (the movement of motors perfect) .. The light has become so weak I can hardly see the blue dot so where is the problem ? is it the laser it self or the board ? or the software (im using lightburn)

Hello Zaharia Khouni, thank you for your comment. I am sorry to hear that. If this happened suddenly, it might be related to a software change or a hardware malfunction. There are a few things to check before coming to a conclusion. 1) Power Settings in the GRBL config, it is not likely, but with me, using multiple devices got messed up. Go to Edit > Device Settings under "Other Option" and make sure that the "S-value Max" is set to 1000, then check the same under Edit > Machine Settings > $30 Max Spindle Speed and make sure it is set to 1000 too. 2) Check that the actual power settings sent to the machine are right. To do that, draw a simple line to send for engraving and set its power to 100%, than before to send it for engraving, go to the console tab, and toggle on the "show all" this will allow you to see how the gcode parser behaves, i.e., all the set of codes truly streamed to the machine. Once ready, send the engraving as if it was regular engraving (put some material under the laser) and check the first couple of lines of gcode; you should see something like "G01 x4.36 y2.12 s1000 f500" we need to be sure that the "s" is followed by the 1000 or whichever power value you set for the layer (times ten). 3) Have you tried another software e.g. LaserGRBL? This would exclude a software issue. Let me know Ciao

@@MiddleRoomWorkshop Thanks. I made sure and everything is fine. I switched the software to the original NEJE. as well as a GRBL software. I even changed the laptop. I think now it’s clear that the problem isn’t in the software. Note: Even without connecting the laser to the computer, When I turn on the device the problem is the same..the blue dot is very weak (like 1% of power or less) I wanted to check the motherboard, so I removed the cable going to the laser and measured the voltage with a voltmeter.. I found that the black and red output 12v , and the black and yellow output is 2.4v when the laser is not working and they go 4v if it is working I think the problem is with the laser? I cleaned it and cleaned the lens, but nothing changed!

Hi Zaharia Khouni, thank you for your feedback. In this case the integrity of the laser is compromised. Some time the problem at be the lens only, but the only way to establish that is to measure the optical power. From your description, it may be the diode itself, therefore, nothing is doable. Let me know. Ciao
