Now you should travel to LUMBINI Nepal (about 250 km west of Kathmandu). It's birthplace of lord Buddha. You will find completely different yet same culture over there. It will add up another aspect of Nepal to you. Thank you so much for visiting Nepal. If you would like to study bit more about Hinduism I would recommend you to study "Bhagwat Geeta- As it is". Its available in market and some religious organization might give it for free. It is actually not just about religion, its a whole book. I definitely recommend it to you. About the linga, its definitely male and female which is essential for the existance.

Brahma is the creator of universe, each day of brahma lasts for 4.32 billion human years and same time for night. When its brahma's day, life exists. When its brahma's night, life seizes to exist. Bishnu guides us to the phases of the universe, he is believed to incarnate on earth first in the form of fish, there are 10 incarnation of vishnu, where 10th is believed to be for destruction. his most recent incarnation(also his 9th) as lord Krishna was to teach love and war to the world. Shiva is completely different, he is believed to be everything that exists, he is believed to be the universe. He only exists on physical form in Kailash mountain. If we go deeper, Life of brahma through all those days and night is 311.04 trillion years, ie the age of the universe. Every brahma represents a universe, there any infinite number of brahmna that represent multiverses and bishnu is said to guide life in all those multiverses. Bishnu is immortal unlike brahma and his every exhale is said to create thousands of brahma and each inhale is said to kill thousands of brahma(it takes him 311.04 trillion human years). Shiva is one throughout the multiverse. wrote quite long paragraph please leave a heart if you read it all, would make my day

Another one of "your best" so far bro. I think maybe you understand more of Hinduism than many young Hindus of today. Apart from the extremists in the RSS, BJP and Hindutva (in India), Hinduism is one of the most, if not the most tolerant religions of all. And Nepali Hinduism even more tolerant. A Hindu will never tell a non-Hindu that their way is the only way to "heaven" whereas the Abrahamic religions do. The Shivaratri festival in March is an excellent time to visit Pashupatinath especially at night. You may even get a discreet toke of ganja to honour Lord Shiva. Brother if you ever get invited to a Nepali wedding, especially a village wedding, you must go. You will be guest of honour and it will be an experience of a lifetime. I've been lucky enough to be invited to 3 village Hindu weddings and one Buddhist Kathmandu city wedding. Very special experiences.

Another important part of Hindu cremation is that the body is actually cremated without anything on - no cloths .. even the piece of cloth that’s used to cover the body is also not a part of cremation; you are born naked you go naked - you do not take anything with you !! Piece of gold etc are not worn on the body but probably just offered to the Fire !! Every rituals performed before and after the cremation ceremony is all very scientific as well. For example: once the body is cremated - the closest family and those who touched the body take shower and take off everything that they were wearing during the process .. the family quarantines for 13 days - eat the most basic food… no meat etc … wear white and shower everyday.. etc Which makes sense as back in those days; people use to die of some diseases rather than old age… the diseases could be contagious… hence, the quarantine.. food that helps to heal .. etc After 13 days of quarantine, when no other family members fall sick; then they invite all friends and families and kind of celebrate the life of the dead.

Nicely explained!! Really appreciate your effort in researching about Hinduism 🕉, which is the most misunderstood religion of all, and explained in simpler terms. Rebirth is actually considered a chance to build up your karma - even being born as animals or any other living beings is also considered as getting closer to getting a life as a human, which is more conscious being. Just to be clear that being born as a lower form is also not bad - just that you can’t make more conscious decision’s.. The purpose of every life is to live more conscious life till you learn the lessons in life and get “moksha” or be one with the higher energy. The more evolved a soul is the more it seeks spirituality and live more conscious life- which ensures moksha. There are many school of thoughts in Hinduism and you choose your own calling to attain moksha. Hence, unlike Abrahamic religions, people following dharmik religions such as Buddhism/Hinduism/Sikhism/Jainism etc are not afraid of death - death and rebirths are just a cycle till you figure out a way to break the cycle and attain nirvana/moksha.
