From what I’ve heard, hasbro stocks have been suffering in general. Now obviously hobbyist nerf is a pretty small part of that, but nerf is a huge brand for them, and if kids are more interested in pro-level blasters from Dart Zone and even X-shot, that’s a big problem. This feels more like a panicked reaction, not them listening to us or the competition. They literally just recreated a modded stryfe. I fear this might be too little too late. I would buy the omnia any day over this for the price sure and the better (imho) looks and select fire. The nerf battery seems like the real game changer and I can't comment on build quality. I just can't belive that nerf are so late to the pro game and don't put out an absolute 10/10 blaster. It baffles me that they didn't go for picatini or the flared magwell. The mag release also just seems like a compromise. I'm assuming its for financial reason. I suspect there is a dedicated, built for half length from scratch blaster coming somewhere in the future. Hasbro warns on the package to use only official Nerf Pro darts and not to modify the darts or blaster. However, I was able to utilize non-Hasbro-manufactured magazines in the blaster.

I like the blaster. The lipo with the safety features is huge. The risks are the thing that have kept me from switching to them since I’m not an active nerfer. The only thing that I don’t like is that it’s exclusively short dart and the lack of an n strike barrel lug. Would have been nice to have the option to use long darts and be able to put attachments like the chronobarrel on there. Overall though it’s a great blaster for someone who wants solid performance right out of the box and would like a safer battery option.

Make the switch to short darts. Mod your favorites to take shorts, and you’ll never want to go back

@@Queldonus springers I’m more much more inclined with this thought. As short darts are pretty much always better. Flywheels you get varied results and I just like things modular really. Perhaps you’re somewhere with younger folks or long darts are just the game choice. I just like having the option to use either.

This is exactly the reason I never switched to LiPos. I didn't play enough to warrant it and now I'm on an extended hiatus, but between this blaster and the new Dart Zone hammer pistol, I might end that hiatus

Amazon lists it at $119.00. That's $30.00 more than the Dart Zone Omnia which also hits around 150 fps and has select fire from single to 3 round burst to fully auto. I know what I'm going to choose. 😊

Gotta keep the lipo in mind, though. I'm just happy to see Nerf's (hopefully) back on their game! Dart Zone will always be number 1 for me though :) Edit: Just remembered the Omnia also has a rechargeable, so yeah, it's probably a better pick. I'd like to get my hands on both, though...

I just had an idea but I don’t have the means to make said idea a reality, is there a scar that would work for the stryfe x?
@outofdarts
Жыл бұрын
SCARs and flywheelers tend to not get along, as they're prone to jamming, and they often make accuracy worse. This is one of the reasons that the Stryfe X has straight fluting in the barrel as opposed to the rifled-style fluting that the original Stryfe had.

"We miss you Coop" Yeah... we do. =,( Nerf StryfX, could this be Nerf's attempt to coax Coop772 BACK into the Nerf Mainstream? I could see Coop dropping a one time review on this for us. =D Awesome, can't wait for the Rayven(fire)X!! =D no N-stryke Barrel lug?! people WILL be slapping their Stryfe lugs on this. Yup extended mag release a MUST!
@TheGhost00sm

Dart zone MK-3 is now about $60. That half the price. It'll do both full and short darts. It'll do semi and full auto. More blaster for less money. The new Omnia Pro is everything that Styfe X is plus 3 round bursts and full auto. It's $30 cheaper. Let's be honest, we had the Strye X for a long time. All Nerf did was take what hobbyist been doing for a long time and made it a retail product. I've had a stryfe that could do everything the X can years ago. coming

I appreciate the nod to modders and the hobbyist community, but Hasbro essentially took the stryfe and made it even more asymmetrical to the point it looks lopsided. The extended battery door and motor cover were never intentional design choices, but just modders working around the limitations of the shell. When small form factor batteries and powerful 130s became common, "sleeper" stryfe builds were probably the most popular. I think a new design purpose built for the pro series would have worked much better, but based on Hasbro Pulse releases, Hasbro just wants to cash in on nostalgia. What's next, a longshot X or retaliator X with external priming bars?
