Thanks for this. I was doing something similar today with my One+ , but forgot about the shortcut > Shift > convert ¦ to actually apply the chops to a program and ended up adding each chop manually to drumpads :)

Nice & mellow! Apart from the initial pad velocity on the chords, does the MPC also randomise the velocities of each note, & can you set how it does that, & does it also rake, or strum, the notes of the chord a bit? And if you'd gone into the MIDI are all those notes accessible? I'm suddenly more interested in what are for me the newer MPC features! 😉

So… you can set “Humanise” for Timing, Velocity, Note Length and you can apply this to all or selected and single notes. There’s lots to play with. You can access the midi via the grid view and it can be changed manually to suit your tastes. I haven’t seen anything about rake or strum so far. I’m not sure it’s that sophisticated. 👍

@@nervouscooks Cool! I meant strum but in relation to piano keys, as apart from sequenced House most pianists stagger the start of notes of chords in varying degree depending in genre. Before, during, & after the beat we're hitting. I didn't think they would have coded that MIDI aspect for realtime, it's tricky. But could be applied like a MIDI effect after. But the velocities sounded nice, I must say! 👍

@@nervouscooks So wait, "humanise, velocity, note length" were all happening when you were playing chords on the pads in real time, or applied after? It's critical to me & it isn't clear.

@@thekeysman6760 it’s applied after though I can’t say for certain that you can’t do it during. I’m still not that familiar with the device particularly midi. I know once you record the midi you can add the humanise function and tweak the parameters to suit.

@@nervouscooks Oh okay, thanks. It just sounded quite natural when you were playing the chords on pads. I'm surprised if it doesn't do some of that in realtime. Sounded like it.

Great vid, thanks man. Which of your samplers do you find has the smoothest workflow to go from nothing to song?
