Dude... you're a fantastic teacher. Hands-on approach is the only thing that works for me. The only time I really soak in information is when I apply it in practice. Thank you so much for this easy-to-follow tutorial. If you're a viewer finding this tutorial hard, don't despair. Many of us have a background in another backend framework (Ruby on Rails in my case) so we are very familiar with many concepts talked here. Just keep practicing until it sticks with you, we were all in your shoes once so you'll get there too.

at around 1:48:00 , you are changing the signToken function to return an object instead of just a string. you say to delete the async because it is returning a promise, but then mid way through changing it you cut the video, add back the async, and also change jwt.signAsync to await jwt.signAsync. now, I figured out the problem on my own, but I was stuck for about 20 minutes very confused because you did not even say these steps you took, you just cut the video and added it back. very frustrating. was a good learning experience at least, but like why did you not say that you changed it back to async and made the jwt.signAsync on await

it is awesome because other orms have schemas and models as two separated files, so you have to do twice the work. For example in adonisjs with lucid orm you have to manage the model and migration file all by hand.

Thanks for the awesome tutorial!!!! Please bring more ^_^ But one suggestion: in the tests when you are making use of the "stores" funcionality from "pactum" lib to save variables to use further in next tests... it's not the best approach, because you are creating dependency between the tests when the recommended way is to write tests with scope isolated and independent of each other, so than when one test fails, it will not causing others failing in cascade.

This is a great video! I have one issue though with the (apparent) way Nest does modules/providers .. If you play the video from about minute 43:40 .. We want to use our Prisma service inside the Auth Service. You see we already have the PrismaService as a provider to the PrismaModule which we import into the AuthModule... However if you pause the video at 44:05 You'll see that in AuthService vsCode's code-completion actually imports the PrismaService directly from prisma/prisma.service.ts .. Yet the way we fix the error is by exporting our PrismaService from the PrismaModule .. Which is honestly just confusing .. If we are going to import and use the PrismaService directly from it's file, then what is the point of using this modular structure? The only way this might be explained is if vsCode is doing the auto-import, but it is not actually being used, that in fact the AuthModule itself is being used to provide the PrismaService to the AuthService at compile/runtime .. Hopefully someone else noticed this..
