At this’s Connected Britain, held at the ExCel in London, we caught up with Steve Doddington, Director of Public Networks at Netceed, to discuss the company’s recent rebrand from ETC Group to Netceed and how they're tacking the current turbulence in the fibre market.
Doddington’s take on the evolution of the fibre market is that “the market is clearly changing. We’ve seen a year that’s been very different to the last, with lots of questions of investment, which changes the dynamic of the products that we sell.”
“Customers connected is more of a focus. We have to shift our product sets away from build materials and into customer connections. We have to work harder with customers to make sure we give them a quality service, we need to make sure that we can demonstrate to the customers the value that we can add, and to make sure that they can recognise the value in us.”
In many ways, the today’s tough economic climate plays into the hands of Netceed. According to Doddington, the company has one of the widest product portfolios in the market.
“We’re adding value by offering supply chain solutions,” Doddington explained.
