I can't believe how much you sound like Head East. Every note played and even the singers' voices are just about identical. I love this song, but if I could never hear the Head East version for the rest of my life, I'd choose yours and would be just as satisfied.

You have about 10 years on me judging by the year you mentioned , 1977. I was just a wee pup of 10 yrs. then. By 87 I was well dug in my foxhole surrounded by Budweiser long necks. 6 rehabs came and went with no dent in my armor. So, I had to die twice in the E.R., flatlined and it finally stopped the drinking. That was in 2012 and I am pretty sure the lesson finally stuck.I was the last person to see two of my friends alive as well. The cops grilled me for a few, but they knew I had nothing to do with their deaths. I only mention this because you spoke of people that are gone today. I have not heard a band cover a song that well in my life! The vocals are scary good and so are the synth parts. I am still wondering if it`s a trick !!

In the late 1970s, my family owned a restaurant (and it’s still in business today). There was a jukebox and during that era this song was played all of the time by the customers. People loved it. They also liked Rod Stewart and a couple of Abba songs too. As I recall the proceeds from the jukebox, pinball machines and arcade games were split 50 / 50 with man who owned the machines and us. Good times. 👍 Oh one more thing: 10cc The Things We Do For Love was overplayed as well.

I was blessed to find this today. Playback was 3+ times. On my second viewing, i made a slight adjustment to the playback speed. I used the "custom setting" and moved it to 1.05 speed. It changed the dynamics to a song I greatly love. I am not certain if my change was to actual time or not. I did enjoy it more than the 1.0 standard speed. It is possible that a lag developed with uploads, but give it a try. I bought Flat As A Pancake back in 75' or 76', watched John Schlitt preform this song many times. You all gave Headeast a Smile. Well Done to the Young lady and those rocking Old Guys.

@amrak - speaking only for the production, I use variable frame rate video recording, which I sync to audio WAV files, which are fixed rate tracks. Neither should have any effect on timing or pitch of the performance. While some of the other drummers I work with use a click track or BPM cue, I don’t think Rand of LNA does (although I’ve never asked, but will likely add his own comments). I can’t speak for anything after I upload to YT. Thanks.

This is in noway a direct critique on your work. I just watched Back on my feet again. I did the same test with playback and 1.05 was to strong a change. I used the Man walking behind the band and the bands music and think this playback was closer to standard speed. Some formats have a slight lag with KZitem, and from my experience. Others have mentioned this same thing. Give a listen to never been any reason with the suggested change, it's free. Keep up the great work. I was also in Light and Sound work back in those mid 70's through mid 80's. @@PeaceSoundAndLight

Absolutely killed it. Drummer was the key here. There was one harmony missing or buried but this was certainly the best sounding cover I've seen on YT, and I've seen probably 20. As far as stage presence, I'd like to see more enthusiasm and interaction but the music was tight AF!!

This was really lovely to watch thank you. Warm, full, round, punchy drum sound love my Pearls. Sounds like coated or clear ambassadors. Really good vocals, it's all put together. The raw tones coming in are great and the mix out blends it. Super job

And god I love a good bass tone, so round and even in all registers, no clicks, buzz or weird overtones. A drummer's dream

Great day in the morning! This is top shelf talent! I have been playing guitar with bands for 45 plus years now, and to see and hear you guys is a treat. Very balanced sound on vocals and instruments. I just appreciate the work, dedication, and love that it takes to do a cover this well. You have a fan in Arkansas.
