This is so exciting! I’m growing turmeric, ginger and citrus trees in Canada. I never knew about using the leaves. ♥️🇨🇦

Thank you for the recipes and suggestions. I do have one question. I was fortunate to grow the fresh turmeric this year and wondering if it can be preserved by freezing or some.other method for future uses. Looking forward to your next videos. Thank you again. ❤

It can be frozen and preserved for a long time. I have seen Banana leaves being sold frozen in the Asian stores in Europe. To thaw the frozen leaves, just wash them under running water.

The kimchi that I buy usually has 1/4 cup of leftover sauce once I'm done so I'll probably add some blanched turmeric leaves from my front yard to finish it all up.

We grow turmeric in North Georgia -- and yes they come back after winter! I use Cardamom leaves in much the same way you do the turmeric leaves. Now I'll use the turmeric leaves, too! Thank you!

How does it come back since you dig them out?. Could you let me know since I am growing it for the first time. Thank you

@@olgapietri4062 Don't harvest all of it. Always leave some that will come back next year and multiply. Obviously if you dig it ALL up, you wont have anything left to keep growing.

Fresh tofu can be quite white. But on camera, it looks brighter because of the light.
