It's not that the analysts thought they were gonna lose. It's that they actively wanted the nuggets to get swept so they could immediately rag on Jokic's legacy. Americans have sensationalized players and sports and focused on individuals whereas Europe trained ballers learned the hard fundamentals. Basketball is the ultimate team sport, and Jokic plays it better than any; he's rewired all Denver's players to think the same, unselfish ball, the best way to play the game, according to Jokic.

Yea and he took that over the minute he landed in Denver pretty much. S/O to Tim Connelly as he saw what in my eyes beside drafting Jokic/Murray what is probably one of the toughest but best trades the Nuggets have ever made. They sent two away. But got two times the players sent away in return. Not to discredit Gary Harris. I'll always remember him as a great Mr. Nugget and a huge reason why the Nuggets are who they are today but AG fits this team like a perfect puzzle piece and has built such a relationship w/Jokić going to sombor 2x etc that their 2man game is nearly as deadly as Jok/Jamal's is. Not only that but they have been battle tested as they grew up. Jokic is 5 games or so away from 82 playoff games and and looks to finish with 2k/1k/500 or more just like when he was the first to do it in an 82 game regular season. Although since it's the playoffs, it's way more impressive of course. Crazy stat for the MV3!😮

God i wish i could like this video 1000x. Just great takes and insights. Props for calling Braun "Brown". Awesome stuff 👏 🙌 AG took over Mr. Nugget after Gary Harris and Monte Morris left. And he did it instantly by putting his ego aside and realizing that this brand of basketball was THE way to play the game. Few teams ever reach the synergy that the nuggets possess. Justin Holiday also said it best when joining the team when he said "This team made me fall it love with Basketball again..." or something along those lines. When your 3x MVP can be selfless, you can also be selfless like AG said after gm4 and together there is no guy that NEEDS 40 shots to generate the kind of offense that Denver has built over the years THEIR brand of basketball which has always been fast paced but then Malone sprinkled in a bit of Jokić and a pinch of Murray and voila, Nuggets Basketball and the rest just bought in right away knowing they too were just as important when on the floor than anyone else!

Jamal healing up his calf a bit in those 4 days or so between 2 and 3 and the change in tactics to handle the MW's defense better has been the difference maker. With Jamal gaining more of his mobility back, the 2 man game became super deadly again as well. Can't stop that without overcompensating, which opens up so much for the Nuggets on the offense. I dare say the Nuggets are the strongest and most versatile team on offense. Which means even the so called #1 defense in the league is nothing but an inconvenient speed bump to them (when healthy).

To diminish his title, to diminish his MVP's, to act like he was never good. I'm looking at you ESPN, I'm looking at you Bill SImmons, I'm looking at you Hoops Tonight, Looking at you TNT, I'm looking at you Gilbert "Agent 0 achievements" Areas making shit up saying that the Nuggets players quit. If the Nuggets win this series i expect a damn public apology from all this freaking clowns Also i heard so many BUMS questioning the value of Justin Holiday who has been playing solid to justify his time on the court. In EVERY SINGLE GAME he makes the little things of causing TO, taking switching, spreading the floor, making at least 1 jumpshot, play a bit of defense. This is another shot at you Hoops Tonight. Justin OUT PLAY Watson so much that he straight up glued Watson to the bench. He's outplaying Reggie jackson too. Is Braun and Holiday the bench players doing their job. Justin would never lose you a game. He either goes neutral or add up to the wins.

Gordon been clamping Edward’s these last two games every time he’s on him. Nuggets totally flipped the script on the Wolves.

After game two, I thought the wolves would close it out in 5. It’s obvious now that Jokic is a cheat code. It’s hard to see any team beat the nuggets with a healthy Jokic. On a side note, if the wolves lose, I really like their future. This series is basically the nba finals for me. The experience they can take away from this can help them beat the nuggets

I really thought that Bill Simmons is smarter than that...i understand low minded people like SA and Perk...but my opinion on Simmons drastically drop after that.

He thought Murray was cooked because he looked injured/limited in the first two games. He is also completely in love with Anthony Edwards, like the rest of American NBA media. But still.

@@Jonteponte71 I understand win...but sweep and saying like he guarantee to people that will happen...i mean that say to me you don't have any respect to Jokić, Gordon, Mpj, Malone!

It’s like 86 Boston vs Bulls with young Jordan. Only that Jordan in 86 didn’t play with another All star, DPOY and 6th man. And Bird played with 3 other all stars and HOFs. Oops.

Lakers in 6…Timberwolves in 4…time for them to check for cracks in the crystal ball. Whatever teams do to stop the Nuggets it’s learned how to work around that and can crush their spirits.

They hate Jokic and Denver collectively, they WANTED them to lose. How could they doubt the defending champs so much?
