Assalamu alaikoum brother. Again, shukran jazeelan for your course. Allah barakfeekoum ajmaeen. Subhan Allah! I met a 70ish German revert @ salat il jumah today. Just talked to her for 3 minutes; I was so upset with myself that I didn't tell her about your site. Alhumdulilah she knows some prayers, speaks English, but doesn't read Arabic @ all. Inshallah if I meet her again, I will remember. Shukran jazeelan for your excellent, patient teaching style. As I said before I've heard many arabic teachers. The way you teach is simply exactly what non native Arabic speakers need. I'm so grateful that you didn't quit! Alhumdulilah rubb il alameen.

one thing i learned listening to other people reciting the quran, if you did stop at a word due to, for example, running out of breath, you go back a few words back (in a sensible meaning) for example: "و إذا قال لقمان لابنه و هو يعظه (...) و هو يعظه يابني لا تشرك بالله..."

If someone could help clarify is it okay to re-read an ayah in it's entirety before continuing for example: 62: Wa min doonihimaa jannataan 63: Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan. 64: Mudhaaammataan 64: Mudhaaammataan (repeated) 65: Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan. JazakAllah.

أسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته، May Allah reward you immensely for your efforts in preserving the Quran. I do however wish to point out that waqf and ibtidaa' is ijtihaadi, this is why you find differences between the mushafs of the different qiraat and another example is the discussion weather the basmalah is part of the fatiha or not even though there is an ijmaa' on there being seven ayat in the Surah. I am not saying people should go out and read as they wish, the scholars have worked hard to make things easy for us, especially us non-Arabs who. This is just extra knowledge for those that wish to benefit. May Allah protect us and help us remain steadfast upon the straight path and grant us beneficial knowledge. Jazakum Allahu khairan.

Sheikh Yassir Dosary does this with his recitations. But it isn't just one word, more like a couple words to fit the context of the next ayat. For example in the case of the ayat you referenced at 2:36 . He would stop at "Billahi" and start again from "Ya bunaya La.." and continue. Is it permissible that way?
@Arabic101

Yes, as long as it still in context, it doesn't create a new meaning, and it doesn't break grammar rules, then yes, that is a good way to recite.

So here's what I experience reading Quran as a non arabic- speaking born muslim, sometimes there's this entirely long ayah with no stopping symbols in sight and I simply can't just stop and start again as I want, I'm afraid it will change something in meaning, that goes back to the first thing I mentioned being non arabic speaking muslim I don't understand the meaning of what I read to even know that I change a meaning in a ayah, so I always have to take a very very long breath and just read it whole as a save option, though it doesn't feel right and aches my throat

Asalamu Alikum. What belief should one keep regarding القراءات الشاذة (the recitations other than the ten recitations)? Please answer this as I fear that i may consider something Quran that is not Quran or i may deny something that's Quran as denying even a word of Quran or adding a word to the Quran makes one disbeliever. What belief should i keep regarding القراءات الشاذة ?
