Happy to do it. It's neat looking at variations. At first glance they all loook the same. It is neat seeing the upgrades and changes over time.

so are the plastic tanks cheaper to make and have on the tractor ??? i Give deere Kudos on the cummins power in the large tractor but the fuel tanks dont look to be ground level fill and when you get the tanks drained down i think you are loosing some ballast

Nice setup. But i don't see the point of making ag equipment run scr systems. They make up a very small portion of global emissions. And it's just something else to break . And Def is just another added expense to a farmers budget.

@bigtractorpower

+Trent Merchant Articulated tractors are very popular in WKY for tillage and planting. The farms BTP films at use 8Rs mainly for running batwing mowers. One big dairy uses 8Rs for pulling forage wagons you can see in our videos.

Wow that's a lot different than here in Kansas. We run 8r's for just about about everything. And on the farm I work on we use a 5r for our batwing mower but we don't do a lot of mowing with it just along the roads when it gets to tall

No thanks , I'd never want anything that expensive first off that tractor wouldn't get over enough acres to justify the cost second they wear out just as fast as older models that cost much less third the electronics on these monsters are troublesome and one glitch is all it takes to shut you down for a day or two I'm thrilled I will never need anything close to that monstrostity it might as well be a F-16 fighter jet for all I care
@trentmerchant5651

I agree with you in a way these tractors are defiantly out of our budget but we do run a lot of newer equipment with all the new technology which is honestly so much help with efficiency so in no way am I saying technology is bad but I do wish it would have stopped last year because with these new cables tractors (that only fat lazy rich farmer will buy) I don't know where well be in 2020 and i sure in the hell hope it's not machines doing all the work why the people who lived there life to not be an office worker do exactly what they were raised not to do.

@bigtractorpower

+Samuel Webb Farming in this region is all about working wide and fast. Several farms trade every year. Some trade every two years. As a result there are other farms that run one and two year old machines. It works out well for the operations to run new and newer equipment. There are not allot of machine over five years old in the area as a result.

Awesome, thanks for the reply. We have some decent-sized tractors around here, but nothing like you guys have in that end of the state; now that tobacco is dying we're more cattle focused. And the horse farms of course. Fayette County Farm Bureau puts on a really good auction at the Kentucky horse park each year. We get equipment from all over the state, and this year I saw buyers from not just Kentucky, but all over the midwest. 100% of the proceeds go to the farm bureau education foundation. You might be interested in filming it one of these days.
