Never been much of a honda man, but the fireblade is a true icon. This SP version really looks like the icing on the cake to me, what a beauty. If i had the funds i would buy it eyes closed. Honda put up a video about all the fireblade models throughout 30 years. Very interesting to see all the engineers who have dedicated their life working on this icon 30 years long.

It's hard to believe that my 'Blade is nearly 20 years old, the first 954 should have been called the 10th anniversary edition 😁 As for this new one with its 1992 'round eye' inspired colour scheme...I'm drooling. With the improvements to the mid-range performance, I really want one, such a shame that I'm poor.

HRC should bring a crossplane crankshaft for better low and mid range torque, because Honda has said bringing a V4 would make the motorcycle too expensive for the commercial market and it may not sell well like the RC 213V and VFR series.

Hate it. Far too many electronics on it. Tonnes of folk complaining about the RR-R and SP, you can't change the quick shifter to GP style. changing either the sprockets and or tyre size throws all sorts of spanners in the electronics. Personally my 16 SP came with Brembo M4 calipers and master cylinder. I binned the ABS off straight away and the breaks were utter pants. no feel, no grip. Sure, I could have changed the rotors and pads, but just didn't feel anything was working. So totally scrapped the whole breaking system and went for PFM 6 pot race kit. Not stops quicker than hitting a tree. The winglets do nothing for the bike, it still wheelies until the electronics cut in and rob every bit of power. Same goes for TC, coming out of a corner you starts to give it the beans and BOOOOO in comes the heavy TC. Sure you can turn it off to a degree, same as the suspension settings. So why have them if you will never fiddle with them once set to your riding style??? And the front is still pig ugly, riding position is horrid too, foot pegs are no where near where they should be. It's a bike for pansies. For all those reasons I'm gonna say "I'M OUT".

When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was an S1000RR. I was like they’re gonna get a lot of people mad with the headlight change. Enter where I know nothing about sport bikes aside from that I’m miserable when I ride one. I think they’re still going to get a lot of heat from the track guys about the brakes. Doesn’t seem like they listened to them at all. The only complaints I’ve heard keeping it from being the best bike in class, is gearing which they addressed, and the brakes being possibly worse than the R1M. Which is probably not good because that bike is dying for a full redesign. I wonder if any of the Japanese brands will reach out to Ducati about how to make an abs system so they can finally beat them in factory bikes? It seems like the only thing ever hurting them is bad abs units. I don’t own a sport bike and while the brakes on my MT-09 are better than everything I’ve experienced. I can say the abs system is terrible. It reminds me of the Fords that come here from Europe. Everything over 25% applied pressure is abs chatter. Anyway stay awesome Bob always love the videos.
