I am a huge Subaru fan. My collection consists of 71 Subarus, and 2 years ago I spanned my collection to real life, purchasing a 5th generation Legacy. Being able to paint the fender, bumper, and rocker panel trim is great, makes the car look quite a bit better. I am rather disappointed that there are no rally visual modifications to the VB chassis WRX. No light bars, brush guard for the front, like on every other WRX in the game, not even mud flaps. A Subaru without mud flaps, in my opinion, is sacrilege. Hell, I bought mud flaps for my Legacy in real life! It is rather disappointing that Subaru has discontinued the STI trim level from the WRX in 2021, making this the least powerful WRX in the game. I have rallied it stock, and it has a very good amount of grip and is very easy to drive. The lower horsepower than the STIs make it easier to drive and less likely to slide and spin, but does make it a little more challenging while rallying and attempting to pull a Scandinavian Flick, as you need to be more aggressive with it to make is slide much. I have yet to try tuning this up to B class or A class for road or dirt, but I will get around to it soon and am sure it is quite capable of holding its own on a track or a trail. My only other major complaint, besides the lack of rally modifications, is the sound. While it does have the iconic Subaru rumble, it is not an STI and does not have that sound stock. The rumble in STIs is caused by the unequal length headers in the exhaust. The WRX, along with previous generation WRX (non STI trims), and all other Subarus in general, have equal length headers, giving it a higher pitched and smoother sound. I have modified the exhaust on my Legacy, but it still has the stock equal length headers, and it rumbles until around 4,000 RPMs, then get higher pitched. The VB WRX should very similar. I can get over the sound a bit as when you swap to unequal length headers, you do get the more iconic Subaru rumble that you hear on STIs and in the game. Overall, I rate this new VB chassis WRX a solid 8/10. Rally mods and a better stock exhaust sound would be nice, but it is overall still a lovely car. I would love to see the 2023 Subaru WRX VT23R rally car added to the game in the future, that would be incredible. It is Vermont SuperCar's rally car, built off of this new generation WRX. I was lucky enough to go to a rally that it competed in, and it won 19 out of 19 stages by huge margins, some stages by over a minute. That would be an incredible edition to the game, it is an insane racecar. P.S.: That iconic Subaru blue is called World Rally Blue. I have debated having my Legacy painted WRB but currently do not have the $3,000 or so to have it painted, so I will keep the metallic flake dark grey, that is hardly even visible since the car is always caked in dirt. (Subaru things...)
