Ever since this bike came to India, it's the only bike I've truly ever wished for. Don't get me wrong, I've always yearned for other bikes too, but my head AND heart have together wanted this bike ever since I rode a friend's a few years ago. This new one just takes away any niggles the prev. gen bike had. For my 6'1" 90 kg frame, it's the perfect all round bike for Indian roads.

Versys suites Indian roads perfectly, especially with that adjustable suspension and traction modes. Add to that plathora of accesories, both OEM and aftermarket. You can literally have a unique bike set up just for you. Wanna lower the seat height, get the comfort seat, brings it down by 20 mm to a manageable 825 mm. Factory fitted LED fog lights, jiska chalan nahi kar sakte police wale. The list goes on. When you get the bike throw away the stock shitty rubber and put on Pirelli Angel Gt 2 or Rally STR and you're sorted.

Dude - you mentioning the tires is the best thing that could happen. I almost crashed for the first time in my life because of the front tire slip on a brand new Versys 650 today. It would slide from the beginning like crazy so I'm glad that it's not just me but you in fact confirm that there is a solution: throw those Dunlops to rubbish and get something safe. Thanks!

Thanx for the review. I am a 50 years old total beginner and thinking to buy my first bike (I am 1,83 cm high with 105 kg). The Versys 650 is on the top of my list but also the Vstrom 650 and the CFmoto MT650.... Difficult to choose, want to have a practical bike for commuting but also go on some touring in my country with enough power and not 'difficult' for a beginner as me. Ride safe and thanx for your excellent reviews✌️

This is now far better option given that Suzuki has raised price of VStrom 650 from 7.46 ex showroom to 8.9 lac ex showroom. And after 12 k km riding whenever I'll change tyres , I'll get good ones. However these Dunlop road biased tyres are not a problem until you plan to go to Ladakh or Sikkim or Himalayas.

@@brendonfernandes2877 yea that's the major thing. But with a adjustable suspension, all led lights, TFT dash... Kawasaki is brilliantly priced the versys. @brendonfernandes2877

@@outofcuriosity6031 Yes for mostly on road riding the Versys is a great package. The V Storm with its 19 inch front wheel and spoke wheels with tubeless tyres helps it be better at off roading which honestly few people actually do in India.

@@brendonfernandes2877 V-strom is not better off road. Versys is equally capable, you just have to adjust the suspension for off road use. Mind you both have the same 170 mm ground clearance, which makes them soft roaders at best. Good enough for a trip to Leh but not for trail riding.

The humongous problem with owning a Kawasaki is the service ans parts cost because the bikes themselves are priced quite well (not the ninja 400). If they can bring the ownership cost down they can actually increase the customer base.

@@hm23215 The cost difference between a CBR 650R and a Z900 servicing is barely 50k over a 5 year ownership period. For a bike costing over 10l 50k is nothing. 50k won't even get you a full system exhaust. If you service the Z900 at a good 3rd party service center the cost difference will be barely 35k over 5 years. Buy the CBR 650R if you love faired bikes but don't worry about a small amount of 50k when you are spending so much money upfront.

Better exhaust note for sure but the Versys is a bigger bike and more comfortable to ride on. The Tiger 660 suspension is more suited for great International roads not for Indian roads.
