Joanne, yours is the only voice I can relax to and I have tried every other available source for my CPTSD. You have asked for suggestions a number of times and I do love the Little House series best regardless of my age. Maybe it’s because I feel less threatened by bears and wolves than the real historical figures of my past that haunt my dreams and keep me awake. Also, as you know I can get these stories by other readers but they present difficulties for me such as play in “pa’s violin” loudly at the start and end of each chapter and reading dramatically. Being fair though, those ones do not claim to be sleep stories so they work for some situations and people indeed, just not me. So as far as I can find you currently have The Little House in the. If Woods and The Little House on the Prairie, both of which I have listened to numerous times. It would be wonderful if you could work on the rest of the series starting with Plum Creek, and Little Town on the Prairie. Thank you so much for reading and considering my request Joanne. May God bless you richly for the work you do. 🙏🏻♥️

Small clarification to the description, this was actually the third book in the series to be written and published. Farmer Boy (which is about Laura's future husband as a child) was actually published in-between Little House in the Big Woods and Little House on the Prairie. At one point, the series for some reason had the numbering changed so that Farmer Boy was listed as the third book, but more recently they've gone back to being numbered in publication order. And, to complicate matters further, if you go by chronological order (order the events occur in), Farmer Boy would actually come first, before the other books. It's all a bit confusing. Of course, if you only count the Laura books as being the main series, and Farmer Boy as a "spinoff," then Little House on the Prairie would still be the second book, making the point moot.

Thank you for this lovely story. As a side note, it's interesting to hear about how people in the old times past saw native Americans. As someone in England, I always see their culture and people as beautiful, strong and admirably respectful to nature and the world around them. I forget about the old perceptions and troubles between new settlers and Native people. I wonder if you could read some of the Native American stories in the future? They have some peaceful creation myths and stories from their culture about all sorts of magical animals, communities and families. Once French Whisper ASMR sleep stories did a Native American story. It had one of the most views on his channel.
