#A5595405 Kilo is a wonderful 10-year-old gray and white neutered male Pit Bull who was surrendered by his owner to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on November 21. Weighing 62 lbs, Kilo is a sweet senior gentleman who deserves to live out his golden years with someone who loves him. Generally slow moving and calm, Kilo enjoys a short leisurely stroll but an Xray found arthritis in his back legs and he seems uncomfortable. He also has some senior vision loss and skin issues, but Kilo has a warm heart and enjoyed soaking up some time in the sun with our volunteers on a chilly day. The shelter is requiring that any other dogs in the home be calm to match his low energy level. Seniors are hidden gems in the shelter system, and Kilo is a perfect example of a dog who will give his whole heart and ask little in return.

Our Mission:
United Hope for Animals is dedicated to reducing homelessness among companion animals through spay/neuter, shelter support, photography, video and networking of shelter animals in Southern California. It is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization working to end homelessness among companion animals by supporting shelter adoptions and spay/neuter programs. Through our Shelter Support Program, our volunteers photograph and video shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption significantly. Our volunteer Adoption Coordinators help facilitate adoptions of shelter pets. United Hope for Animals supports rescue, spay/neuter and networking of shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption. UHA is not a shelter, but supports shelters to help increase visibility of animals who might not otherwise be seen.
