Awesome video! Just what I was looking for! Was looking for the split toning setting and realised it was gone - saw these balls and felt intimidated 😁 It's actually a lot easier and more powerful than the split toning.

100% it’s not too bad right! And if you want your split toning function back I explained how to do that too! I was wondering how they would do it for photos that already had split toning so I popped one open and it’s really simple!

Great tutorial Dunna. I’ve been working with the new grading tool and I’m finding it very useful and it’s real easy to alter only the colours I want and I notice the luminance is really special. Well presented Dunna. Thank you. Stay safe and well

Very informative video! Thanks for dropping the knowledge. One question, as you said that we should keep color greaing as the last step while in the editing process, should we touch Color Calibration (for fine tuning colors if needed) and then touch color wheels?

That’s the way I like to do it anyway! In the end, you can really do whatever you want as long as it gives you the results you’re looking for. So if the color calibration helps, do it!

how is this different from what the RGB tone curves do? I.e. Doesn't the red tone curve add red? And it would add red to just the shadows if you manipulate the curve at the lower left quadrant of the curve, right?

You can also achieve similar results using rgb curves, it’s just a different method. Also, rgb curves don’t allow you to do luminance specific saturation or brightness adjustments.

Have you tried capture one 20? They have the same thing but with a better interface in my opinion. Also it have a master wheel and a level panel.

Really nice insight of the new feature. I was wondering when you should use the individual channels within the tone curve in combination with the color grading tab from now on? What are your thoughts on this? :)

@@dunnadidit Well, Geralt of Undone made a video about it just days ago where he tested the new 3070 against the 2080 Ti and also said he had better experience with Nvidia in the past when it comes to editing. So if anythinfg, listen to him :)
