It's still raining here so let's get some new equipment to fill the void! Also, quick update on the Astromechanics adapter, regarding Tamron and Sigma lenses and how they have issues with it....
ZWO Duo Band filter: astronomy-imaging-camera.com/...
Astromechanics EOS lens adapter: astromechanics.org/
Astromechanics keeps a list of tested lenses here: astromechanics.org/downloads/...
Additionally my own ASCOM driver for it is here: drive.google.com/file/d/1DXiJ...
And the 2 inch filter adapter for Astromechanics that I mention in the video is actually not from Astromechanics, but from a Japanese company called Electricsheep, and can be seen here: www.electricsheep.co.jp/astros... . I was able to buy it separately since this video!
Even so, please be somewhat circumspect! Having tested more, I'm getting more annoyed at the times when my Sigma 135mm f1.8 doesn't connect well, and I have to unplug and plug back in the USB cable until it works. It does work, but now I'm kind of worried I might end up at a dark site, unable to control the focus ring of my lens. I'm almost thinking about selling the Sigma and getting the Canon 135mm f2.0 for that reason.
